Côte Bleue Plongée is a professional diving club situated on the port of Sausset-les-Pins in the Bouches du Rhône. It serves as a central hub for divers looking to explore the varied marine landscapes of the Côte Bleue, ranging from shallow, sheltered rocky areas to deep, dramatic drop-offs.

The club is well-equipped to handle a wide variety of diving styles, from introductory baptisms to advanced technical training. With a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, the centre actively supports the Planète Perles association, ensuring that the local marine ecosystems are respected by all divers.

The team operates with a focus on professional standards and safety, maintaining a ratio of maximum four divers per guide. This ensures close supervision during guided explorations and training sessions.

All instruction and diving activities are conducted in French. The club is affiliated with the FFESSM, providing a structured pathway for divers through the official French certification levels.

The centre offers a full curriculum of FFESSM training, covering everything from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 4. For those looking to specialise, Nitrox and RIFAP courses are available.

Technical training is also provided through specific modules such as PA 20, PE 40, and PA 40. The club is a dedicated space for both those starting their diving journey and experienced divers looking to refine their skills.

The shop provides a comprehensive rental service with kit that is renewed annually. You can hire complete sets including regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, fins, masks, and snorkels. Cylinders are available in volumes ranging from 7 to 15 litres.

For those participating in training courses, the centre offers a significant reduction on equipment hire. Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their bottom time.

The marine life around Sausset-les-Pins is defined by its diverse topography. On the rocky walls and drop-offs, you will find extensive colonies of red coral and gorgonians, which provide a backdrop for large schools of dentis, sars-tambours, and sea bream.

In the more sheltered rocky areas and faults, the biodiversity is high. You can encounter various species including groupers, sea bream, sars, and sea fans. The complex structures of the rocks and tunnels are often home to various species of eel, such as conger eels and moray eels.

Macro life and crustaceans are abundant throughout the region. Divers frequently spot octopuses, spiny lobsters, and various species of crayfish. Smaller inhabitants like blennies, shrimps, and porcelain crabs can be found tucked into the crevices of the reefs and wrecks.

The diving area offers a variety of environments, from shallow, wind-protected spots like La Pointe Noire to deeper offshore sites. The topography includes everything from sandy bottoms and seagrass meadows to steep walls and artificial reefs.
