Sa Figuera Restaurant, Altamar and Roma are all within about 500 feet, so dinner beyond the hotel does not require a logistical operation worthy of a liveaboard departure.

The Sierra de Tramuntana is around 2.3 miles away, giving you a mountain option when the sea has had its turn. Sóller railway station is about 2.7 miles away on foot, or roughly 3.2 miles by road. Palma de Mallorca Airport is around 21 miles away by road, with a drive of about 35 minutes.

Every room has a private terrace, air conditioning, satellite television, a bathrobe and a hairdryer. That combination makes practical sense for a diver: you have somewhere outside to sit with a drink, cooling for the night after a warm day and a bathrobe ready for the walk to the spa. Soundproof rooms and soundproofing are also available, which matters when your alarm is set for an early departure rather than a late breakfast.

For two people, the Superior Double or Twin Room with lateral sea view is the natural choice when the outlook matters. The standard double room is the more compact option for a couple who would rather put the budget into meals, excursions or another day on the water. The Superior rooms use twin beds, while the standard double has one double bed; check the layout carefully if sleeping arrangements are a point of principle rather than a minor detail.

A desk, wardrobe or closet, dressing room, kettle and minibar cover the useful basics. Daily housekeeping keeps the room in order, and room service is available. Rooms include access to the spa, so the route from terrace to sauna, hammam or heated pool is mercifully shorter than most post-dive ambitions.

Airecel handles breakfast, lunch and dinner beside the courtyard, with a Mediterranean menu shaped by Majorcan produce. Breakfast is a buffet served from 07:30, while lunch and snacks run from 10:00 to 19:00. Dinner follows from 19:00 to 21:30, giving you a sensible window for eating without turning the evening into a race against the kitchen.

The restaurant has an outdoor terrace for warmer weather and an air-conditioned dining room when Port de Sóller is less interested in being gentle. The à la carte menu uses local products, and the wine selection includes bottles representing the island’s Certificate of Origin. That is the useful distinction here: Mediterranean cooking with a clear Majorcan connection, rather than a generic international buffet.

There is also a bar, a snack bar and a coffee house on site, plus room service and breakfast in your room. Special-diet menus are available on request. The hotel also runs themed dinner nights and live music or performances, with themed dinners available as an additional option.

The outdoor heated pool gives you an uncomplicated place to spend the afternoon, with sun loungers and umbrellas nearby. If your shoulders have acquired the familiar post-dive stiffness, the spa adds an indoor heated pool measuring 8 by 4 metres, a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, hammam, cyclonic showers and a relaxation area. It is a proper sequence of places to sit down, which is often more valuable than another activity to organise.

Massage treatments cover the full body, back, neck, head and feet, while the beauty menu includes facials, body treatments, body scrubs, wraps, manicures and pedicures. The fitness room looks onto a naturally lit courtyard garden, and yoga classes are available. Use it for a gentle stretch if you must; nobody is keeping score.

When you want to leave the hotel, walking and cycling tours, excursions and bike rides open up the area around Port de Sóller. Golf, hiking and cycling are available, with excursions to places including Sa Calobra, Deià, Valldemossa, the Cuevas del Drach and Lluc Monastery. Boat excursions are also offered, giving your non-diving partner something more interesting to do than inspect your logbook.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is about 21 miles away by road, and the journey takes around 35 minutes. An airport shuttle and a shuttle service are available through the hotel, in private or shared form depending on the arrangement you make with the property. Car hire is also available, while free private parking is provided nearby in a parking garage without the need to reserve a space.
