Orca Diveclub El Gouna, Turtle´s Inn

Orca Dive Club El Gouna is situated in the heart of the Abu Tig Marina, within the Turtle's Inn development. This location places you directly on the El Gouna promenade, approximately 35 kilometres north of Hurghada. The centre is part of an organisation that has been a fixture in the Red Sea since 1991, following the pioneering work of Volker Clausen.

As one of the established names in the region, the club serves a diverse range of divers, from those completing their first breaths underwater to professionals pursuing instructor ratings. The marina setting provides easy access to the boats, making the transition from the shore to the water seamless.

The centre is run by a professional team capable of instructing in English, German, Italian, and Arabic. This multilingual approach ensures that communication remains clear during briefings and underwater training, which is essential for safety and learning.

Training is structured to accommodate all levels of experience. Whether you are looking for basic certification or advanced specialties such as wreck or deep diving, the instructors are equipped to guide you through the curriculum.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of scuba diving certifications. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, with subsequent progression through Advanced and Rescue levels.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers PADI specialty courses including Nitrox, Deep Diver, and Wreck Diver. Professional divers can also undertake training for Divemaster and Instructor levels. The curriculum is designed to meet the standards of all major diving organisations.

The shore base is well-equipped for both adults and children. For younger divers, the centre stocks 8-litre steel cylinders to ensure a more manageable weight and profile. The main cylinder fleet consists of 150 aluminium 12-litre cylinders fitted with DIN connections.

Air is supplied via a Bauer K 15.1 compressor, which provides a high flow rate of 450 litres per minute. A dedicated Nitrox unit is also available on-site, providing 450 litres per minute for divers looking to extend their bottom times. For those travelling without their own kit, the centre offers full equipment hire, including 30 complete sets of rental gear.

The local waters are home to various species, including Glassfish (Atherinidae) that move in large groups through the water column.

Beyond the larger fish, the reef environments offer plenty of detail for those who enjoy observing smaller marine life. The area supports a variety of species typical of the Red Sea ecosystem.
