Kon-Tiki Krabi Scuba Diving & Snorkeling Center

Kon-Tiki Krabi is an established PADI 5 Star dive centre located in Ao Nang, serving the southern waters of Thailand. The centre acts as a gateway to some of the region's most diverse marine environments, from the rugged limestone islands of the local archipelago to the world-renowned sites around Phi Phi.

You can encounter various species of turtles, including the Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), alongside Blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) and various types of rays such as the Eagle ray (Aetobatus) and blue-spotted stingrays.

In the deeper waters and around the wrecks, look for larger predators like Barracuda (Sphyraena), Jacks (Carangidae), and various species of Grouper (Epinephelinae). You may also spot Lionfish (Pterois volitans), Batfish (Platax), and large Moray eel (Muraenidae) species like the Giant moray (Gymnothorax javanicus) sheltering in the structure.

The reef habitats are characterised by healthy soft coral gardens and diverse fish populations, including Fusiliers (Caesio), Snappers (Lutjanidae), and colourful Butterflyfish (Chaetodon). Parrotfish (Calotomus) and various species of Clownfish (Amphiprion) are also common sights among the reef structure.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is a highlight. You can find a wealth of small organisms including Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), various species of Seahorse (Hippocampus), and Ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus). Other interesting finds include Harlequin shrimp (Hymenocera picta), Mantis shrimp (Stomatopoda), and several types of pipefish (Syngnathidae).

Diving in the region involves navigating varied environments, from the sheltered reefs of the archipelago to the more exposed sites around Phi Phi. Some sites, specifically the King Cruiser wreck, are subject to strong currents which necessitate advanced diver skills.
