As a centre committed to conservation, they integrate eco-responsible practices into their daily operations. They are active members of the Green Fins community and maintain partnerships with Trash Hero and Green Guardians to ensure the reefs they visit remain healthy and protected.

Beyond standard recreational diving, the centre places a high value on ecological education. Their approach is designed for those who want to understand the underwater world, not just visit it, through specialised courses in coral reef conservation and underwater naturalism.

Local Diving offers a comprehensive suite of PADI training programmes. For those new to the water, they provide Discover SCUBA Diving and SCUBA Diver courses, leading into the standard Open Water Diver certification.

Experienced divers can progress through Advanced courses, including Peak Performance Buoyancy, or work towards professional levels with the Divemaster programme. The curriculum also features specialised ecological training, such as Underwater Naturalist, Coral Reef Conservation, and PADI AWARE courses.

The local reefs are vibrant with life, featuring extensive soft coral gardens and various coral species. You will regularly encounter schools of fusiliers, jacks (Carangidae), and emperor fish moving through the water column.

Larger pelagics and reef residents include Blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus), various groupers (Epinephelinae), and barracuda (Sphyraena). You may also spot eagle rays (Aetobatus), blue-spotted stingrays, and various species of turtles, including the Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) and Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata).

For those interested in macro life, the area hosts a diverse array of smaller organisms. Look closely for nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), various species of shrimp (Caridea), and octopus (Octopus vulgaris). The reef also provides habitat for ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), seahorses (Hippocampus), and frogfish (Antennariidae).
