Located in the Bophut area of Koh Samui, Member Diving brings a European approach to diving in the Gulf of Thailand. As a Swiss-founded centre, the operation is built on a foundation of precision and high safety standards, tailored to both novice divers and experienced professionals.

The centre serves as a gateway to some of the most significant dive sites in the region. From the deep granite structures of Sail Rock to the diverse ecosystems within the Ang Thong National Marine Park, the area offers a varied range of underwater topographies.

The team at Member Diving is comprised of professional instructors who communicate in English, German, and Thai. This multilingual approach ensures that briefings and training sessions are clear and technically precise for a wide range of divers.

Operating with a focus on education and conservation, the instructors guide you through everything from your first Discover Scuba Diving session to advanced professional stages. The centre maintains a strong emphasis on the community aspect of diving, fostering a professional yet welcoming environment for all members.

Member Diving offers a comprehensive curriculum through PADI and SSI affiliations. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Scuba Diver course, progressing through the standard Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to advance their skills or career, the centre provides Rescue Diver (Stress and Rescue), Divemaster, and Enriched Air (Nitrox) courses. They also offer the Emergency Aid Course (React Right) to ensure divers have the necessary safety skills.

The centre operates the largest and most comfortable dive boat in Koh Samui. This vessel is designed to facilitate smooth transitions between the shore and the offshore sites, providing a stable platform for both training and exploration dives.

For those who prefer not to carry their own heavy kit, the centre provides a full range of ABC-Equipment for hire. This includes regulators, BCDs, and other essential components needed for a comfortable dive.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time or manage decompression profiles more effectively. The facility is equipped to support various levels of diving, ensuring that both recreational and advanced requirements are met.

The reefs are home to a diverse array of large marine life. You can regularly encounter reef sharks, great barracuda, and yellowfin barracuda patrolling the currents. Turtles and titan triggerfish are also common sights across the various sites.

In the shallower reef flats and rocky areas, look for blue-spotted stingrays, white-eyed moray eels, and various species of batfish. You may also spot annulated sea snakes or the intricate patterns of the scribbled filefish.

Macro life and smaller residents include the lionfish, sailfish, and various species of wrasse or filefish. The rocky crevices often hide more subtle inhabitants like the hexagon wrasse.

During certain periods, the area becomes a magnet for larger pelagics. Whale sharks are a seasonal highlight that divers specifically look for when visiting the pinnacles.

Divers should be prepared for varying current conditions depending on the site. While some reef areas are relatively calm, sites like Shark Island and Sail Rock can experience moderate to strong currents.

The topography of the region ranges from shallow reef flats to deep pinnacles reaching 30 metres, requiring divers to be mindful of their buoyancy and gas management, especially when navigating around large granite structures.
