Located in Puerto Colon, less than 100 metres from the dive boats, Travelsub has been a fixture of the Tenerife diving scene since 1999. The team at Travelsub is multinational, capable of conducting training and guided dives in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Dutch, and German. This multilingual approach ensures that technical instructions and safety briefings are clearly understood by a diverse range of divers.

Instruction is handled by a professional staff following PADI standards, with a focus on small group sizes. For those beginning their journey, the centre provides Discover Scuba Diving and Bubble Maker programmes, while more experienced divers can work towards professional levels such as Divemaster.

Safety is a core component of their operation, with on-site emergency oxygen availability. The staff is known for managing the logistics of the day, from heavy lifting to kit preparation, allowing you to focus on the dive itself.

The marine life around Tenerife is diverse, with volcanic reefs and plateaus hosting large schools of fish and various crustaceans. You will frequently encounter rays, including Atlantic stingrays, which are particularly common during the winter months. Schools of barracuda and various species of cuttlefish are also regular sights across the different dive sites.

On the sandy bottoms and around the reefs, you can find moray eels, octopus (Octopus vulgaris), and various species of lobster, including the Canary Islands lobster and spiny lobsters. Spider crabs and other crustaceans inhabit the crevices of the volcanic rock.

For those interested in macro life, the area offers sightings of sea slugs, nudibranchs, and fireworms (Hermodice carunculata). You may also find various species of shrimp (Caridea) and small inhabitants like sea anemones (Actiniaria) tucked into the reef structures.

The larger pelagics include dolphins (Delphinidae), tuna, and occasionally turtles. The underwater landscape is further enriched by a variety of corals and sponges (Porifera) that provide shelter for reef fish, including parrotfish (Calotomus) and various species of wrasse (Labridae).

Diving in the area involves a variety of environments, from shallow reefs to deeper canyons. While many sites are relatively calm, some locations like Veril del Farro are known for strong currents, requiring a higher level of experience.

Certain sites, such as Neptune Cave, can also experience frequent currents, making them more suitable for advanced divers. The volcanic topography creates various arches and through-grottoes that can influence local water movement during a dive.
