Located in Hurghada, Crazy Waves TEC serves as a dedicated hub for divers looking to advance their skills in the Red Sea. The centre operates with a strong emphasis on technical proficiency, catering to those who want to move beyond recreational limits and into the realm of decompression diving and complex gas management.

The centre is built around a philosophy of clear, practical learning. By combining the established atmosphere of Crazy Waves Diving Club with a highly professional teaching approach, it provides a structured environment for both novice divers and seasoned technical specialists.

The training at Crazy Waves TEC is defined by the expertise of Adam Jacoub, who leads selected courses to ensure a personal and methodical learning journey. This coaching style focuses on providing clear training steps and a practical emphasis on safety and buoyancy control.

The centre is affiliated with both SDI and TDI, ensuring that all training meets rigorous international standards. This dual affiliation allows for a smooth progression from standard recreational courses through to advanced technical certifications.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire spectrum of diving progression. Beginners can start with the SDI Open Water Diver Course, eventually moving through to the Rescue Diver Course and Dive Master Course.

For technical divers, the centre offers a comprehensive TDI curriculum. This includes Intro to Tech Diving, TDI Extended Range, TDI Helitrox Diver, and TDI Decompression Procedures. Advanced divers can further specialise with the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, TDI Advanced Sidemount Diver, and the TDI Advanced Trimix Diver or TDI Trimix Diver courses.

The centre is equipped to support technical diving requirements, offering Nitrox and Trimix availability for those conducting deeper or longer decompression dives. This makes it a viable base for divers planning complex profiles or extended bottom times.

For those travelling without a full rig, the centre provides equipment hire to ensure you have the necessary kit for your dives. This includes the fundamental components needed to dive the local reefs and walls safely.

The Red Sea reefs surrounding Hurghada are home to a vast array of marine life. You will regularly encounter large pelagics such as Tuna (Thunnus), Jack (Carangidae), and Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda). Reef sharks (Carcharhinus) and Grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) are also common sights along the walls and drop-offs.

In the reef structure, look for Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), various Grouper (Epinephelus) species, and large Sweetlips (Plectorhinchus). The colourful landscape is filled with Anthias (Anthias), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and various Parrotfish (Calotomus), alongside schools of Chromis and Damselfish (Pomacentridae).

Macro life is abundant for those observant divers. You can find several species of Moray eel (Muraenidae), including yellow-edged morays and yellowmouth moray eels. The seabed and coral heads also host Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), Frogfish (Antennarius), and various Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) species.

The environment is further enriched by hard corals and soft corals, providing a complex habitat for blue-spotted stingrays, Southern stingray (Hypanus americanus), and many different species of reef fish, including Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae) and Unicornfish (Naso).
