Diving Attitude

Diving Attitude is a specialised dive centre focused on liveaboard expeditions throughout the Egyptian Red Sea. With 28 years of experience in the region, they have established a reputation for high-standard service and technical expertise. They operate primarily from the marinas of Hurghada or Port Ghalib, providing transfers to their vessels to begin your journey.

The centre's operations are built around two main boats, catering to different preferences for space and group size. Their itineraries cover a vast range of environments, from the historic wreck sites of the north to the vibrant coral reefs and deep canyons found further south.

The team is led by owners Hélène and Serge, who are deeply involved in the daily operations and maintain a professional, welcoming atmosphere. The instructors are highly qualified, holding certifications across PADI, SDI, FFESSM, and TDI, ensuring they can support a diverse range of diving needs.

Safety is a core priority, with all staff members being trained in first aid. The team is experienced in managing both recreational divers and technical teams, providing instruction in languages including French.

The centre provides an extensive catalogue of training, ranging from beginner levels to professional instructor ratings. You can complete your Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, or Rescue Diver courses through PADI or SDI. For those looking to progress, they offer Divemaster and various Instructor programmes via SDI, TDI, and FRTI.

Technical training is a significant part of their offering, with TDI certifications available for Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, and various Trimix levels including Normoxic, 75, and Hypoxic. They also provide specialised training in Sidemount, Solo Diver, and Gas Blending (including Advanced Gas Blender). Divers following the French FFESSM system can also complete N1, N2, N3, PE40, and PA40 levels here.

The Altaïr is a 'Grand Luxe' category steel vessel designed for maximum comfort and space. It has a capacity for 26 divers and is built to high international standards, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a premium liveaboard experience.

The Atlantis is a comfortable and functional vessel, recently renovated and modernised in early 2025. It accommodates 20 divers and features four individual cabins, making it a practical option for families, small groups, or dive clubs. Both boats are equipped to handle various dive profiles, offering Nitrox and Trimix for technical expeditions, and provide on-board amenities including tasty cuisine, snacks, water, towels, and air-conditioned cabins.

Full equipment hire is available for divers who prefer not to travel with their own kit. The centre provides a complete range of rental gear to suit different diving requirements.

For technical divers, the centre is well-equipped with gas blending capabilities. They provide Nitrox and support advanced decompression and technical diving through their TDI-affiliated training and gas management services.

The reefs are teeming with life, including colourful angelfish, butterflyfish, and anthias that frequent the coral structures. You will regularly encounter turtles, moray eels, and various species of triggerfish, parrotfish, and pufferfish.

Large pelagics are a highlight of the region, with sightings of jack, barracuda, and various shark species including whitetip reef sharks, silky sharks, and grey sharks. In certain areas like Ras Mohamed, you may encounter whale sharks during the summer months.

Macro life enthusiasts can find scorpionfish, stonefish, pipefish, and blue-spotted rays amongst the reef flats and crevices. The waters around Sataya are also famous for the opportunity to swim with long-spined dolphins.

Seasonal visitors include the Mola-mola, which can be spotted around April, particularly near Shaab Sharm.

The centre's itineraries vary from the northern wreck sites to the southern reefs, meaning conditions can change significantly depending on the route. In March, the Gulf of Suez can become quite windy, which may affect access to the northern wreck sites.

Divers should be prepared for various environments, from the calm reef flats to the more challenging currents found at sites like Jackson Reef or Gordon Reef, which are known for beautiful drift dives.
