Kotos Adventures offers a full range of SSI training programmes for all experience levels. Beginners can start their journey with the Try Scuba programme or progress through the Open Water Diver certification.

The centre operates two dedicated dive boats, providing reliable transport to the various sites around the island. These vessels allow for efficient departures from the centre's own private jetty, streamlining the process from the shore to the water.

From the deck, you can access a wide range of environments, from the shallow channels of West End to the deeper offshore walls and wreck sites located further afield.

The reefs around Roatan are home to a vast array of larger marine life. You will frequently encounter various species of turtles, eagle rays (Aetobatus), and reef sharks, including the nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum). Large groupers (Epinephelus), barracuda, and various snappers (Lutjanus) are common sights along the walls and near the wrecks.

The hard and soft coral structures provide a spectacular backdrop for your dives. The seascape is defined by pillar coral, brain corals, sea whips, and various sponges (Porifera), alongside colourful gorgonians and sea fans (Gorgoniidae).

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to observe in the crevices and sandy patches. Look for nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), and various species of shrimp, including banded coral shrimp. Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), and garden eels (Gorgasia) inhabit the more sheltered areas of the reef.

During August and September, massive schools of silversides migrate through the area, sometimes creating such dense concentrations that visibility is reduced to a few metres.

The diving environment in Roatan varies from shallow, protected channels to deeper offshore walls. Some sites, such as Canyon Reef, are known for light to moderate drift currents, which can make navigation more interesting for intermediate and advanced divers.

Certain locations, like the Blue Channel, are very shallow and sheltered, making them ideal for those looking for calmer conditions. Conversely, sites like Pablo's Place offer drift diving opportunities where currents can be more pronounced.
