Managed by a team of marine biologists and experienced divers, the centre bridges the gap between recreational diving and marine science. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or seeking advanced offshore sites, the local expertise ensures you dive in the most productive areas of the region.

The team is led by Alexia, a French marine biologist and SSI assistant instructor, which brings a scientific perspective to every excursion. This Franco-Mexican management ensures a professional, multilingual environment where instruction is available in English, Spanish, and French.

With over 10 years of local experience, the instructors and guides are deeply familiar with the seasonal movements of pelagic species. The centre maintains a strong commitment to marine conservation and the protection of the local ecosystems you will be exploring.

The centre is affiliated with both PADI and SSI, offering a comprehensive curriculum for every stage of a diver's development. You can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubble Maker programme before progressing through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For those looking to advance their skills or career, the centre teaches Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and specialty courses including Nitrox, Deep, and Wreck diving. They also provide EFR (Emergency First Response) and React Right training to ensure you have the necessary safety skills.

The dive boats depart daily and are equipped with essential amenities including toilets, GPS-sonar, and VHF radio. For your comfort during longer trips, the boats feature music and provide snacks, lunch, and drinks on board.

Safety is a priority, with oxygen kits carried on every vessel. The boats are configured for various trip types, including multi-tank day trips, night dives, and specialised excursions to remote locations.

The centre provides a full range of high-quality rental kit, including wetsuits, regulators, and fins, all maintained to suit the local seasons. This allows divers travelling light to access all the necessary equipment for both reef and offshore diving.

Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. For night dives, torches are available to help you navigate the nocturnal marine life.

The Sea of Cortez is a haven for large pelagics. Depending on when you visit, you may encounter whale sharks from October to April, or various species of whales, including humpback, blue, and grey whales, between January and March. During the spring months of April to June, the area becomes a significant site for observing mobulas.

In the shallower reef areas, you will find a high density of California sea lions, which are known for their playful behaviour. Turtles, dolphins, and various shark species are also common visitors to the reefs.

For macro enthusiasts, the seabed holds a wealth of smaller life. You can search for octopus (Octopus vulgaris), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), nudibranchs, and frogfish among the corals and reef structures.

Fixed life is abundant throughout the dive sites, with healthy coral colonies, sea stars, sea urchins, and various reef fish providing a complex habitat for the local fauna.

The best time to visit for optimal visibility and water temperature is during the summer and autumn months. For those specifically targeting sea lions, the period between December and April is ideal.

Seasonal patterns dictate the presence of larger animals, such as the whale sharks in the winter and spring, and the mobulas in the late spring. Always check the seasonal windows for the specific species you wish to observe.
