This is a locally owned operation that prioritises an authentic experience. Rather than the high-volume approach of larger commercial hubs, the focus here is on a personalised service that respects the local environment and the specific nuances of the Bunaken currents.

The centre is owned and managed by Herol Caroles, a PADI instructor who was born and raised in Bunaken Village. Herol brings a unique combination of deep local knowledge—specifically regarding turtle movements and current patterns—and the rigorous safety standards developed during his time working on high-end liveaboard vessels.

The approach at AQUii DIVERS is unhurried, focusing on small groups to ensure that each diver receives individual attention. This local expertise is particularly valuable when navigating the varied conditions found throughout the Bunaken Marine Park.

AQUii DIVERS BUNAKEN offers a full range of PADI training programmes. For those beginning their journey, the Open Water Diver course provides the essential foundations for reef exploration.

More advanced divers can progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver courses. The centre also provides training for those looking to move into professional roles, offering the Divemaster certification.

The marine life in the Bunaken Marine Park is dominated by the presence of turtles, which are a regular sight across the various reef systems. You will find them frequently patrolling the coral walls and reef flats.
