100 Degrees East

Located in Bophut, Koh Samui, 100 Degrees East has been operating marine tours in the Gulf of Thailand since 2004. This family-run business has built a reputation over two decades for providing a more personal alternative to the larger, crowded excursions often found in the region.

The centre operates as a PADI 5 Star dive centre, offering excursions that range from simple snorkeling trips to guided dives for certified divers and beginners. Their focus remains on small-group outings to ensure a more attentive experience for everyone on board.

The team is composed of experienced instructors and guides who manage groups with a strict ratio of no more than 12 adults per guide. For trips involving children, the group size is slightly adjusted to 14 to maintain safety and service standards.

All instruction and dive guidance is conducted in English. The centre is also committed to environmental responsibility, being the first marine tour operator in Koh Samui to eliminate single-use plastics by providing reusable stainless steel water bottles for guests.

The centre provides training for those new to the water through Introductory Diver programmes. These are designed to give beginners a safe first experience with underwater breathing apparatus.

For those looking to gain formal qualifications, they offer various PADI certification courses for both beginners and certified divers.

The centre operates two 35-foot speedboats, both equipped with twin engines for reliability. These vessels are partially covered to provide shade for divers and snorkelers during the journey.

Each boat is well-equipped for day trips, featuring marine toilets, a freshwater shower, life jackets, and lifebuoys. Safety is prioritised with on-board radio, GPS, a compass, fire extinguishers, and emergency oxygen.

For those who prefer not to carry their own heavy kit, the centre provides rental equipment that is maintained in good condition. This includes essential items such as masks, fins, and wetsuits.

Safety equipment is readily available on-site and on the boats, including emergency oxygen and a first aid kit to manage any issues that may arise during a dive.
