Searobin Dive Center

Searobin Dive Center is an established diving operation located in Bophut, Koh Samui. Since 2004, the centre has provided a reliable base for divers looking to explore the waters surrounding Koh Samui and Koh Tao.

The centre is affiliated with both PADI and IFDI, offering a wide range of international certifications. Its location on the island provides easy access to some of the most significant marine environments in the Gulf of Thailand.

The team is composed of highly experienced European instructors, ensuring a high standard of training and guidance. They communicate fluently in both English and German, making the centre a practical choice for international divers.

Safety and individual attention are central to their operation, with a strict ratio of maximum four divers per guide. This small group approach allows for a personalised experience, whether you are navigating a reef flat or exploring a deep wall.

Searobin offers a comprehensive curriculum of PADI and IFDI courses. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, which typically lasts between 2.5 and 3 days, or opt for an Open Water Referral or an Open Water Upgrade.

Advanced divers can progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, and Rescue Diver programmes. The centre also provides Scuba Refresher courses for those looking to brush up on their skills before heading back into the water.

The centre operates comfortable dive boats designed for relaxation between dives. These vessels are suited for trips to the various reefs and pinnacles in the region, providing a stable platform for your excursions.

For those completing their training, modern dive computers are provided during the courses to ensure accurate monitoring of depth and no-decompression limits. The centre is equipped to handle the needs of both students and experienced divers.

The waters around Koh Samui and Sail Rock are rich with pelagic life and reef inhabitants. You will regularly encounter yellowtail barracuda, jacks, fusiliers, batfish, angelfish, and butterflyfish. Large groups of grouper are also frequently seen patrolling the reefs.

Sail Rock is a particular highlight for those seeking larger species, as the presence of plankton often attracts whale sharks on an occasional basis. You can also find various species of snapper and other reef fish around the pinnacles.

The reef structures are well-populated with corals and sponges that provide a home for a diverse range of marine life, creating a vibrant ecosystem for both novice and advanced divers.

The diving season is best from March to November. During this period, the waters are generally calm and protected, with few strong currents or heavy waves to contend with throughout the year.

Temperature stays around 30°C, making for comfortable diving conditions in the tropical heat.
