The surrounding reefs are home to a vast array of colourful fish. You will regularly see schools of fish, including snapper schools, fusiliers (Caesio), and anthias (Anthias). Larger residents such as groupers (Epinephelus), Napoleon wrasse (Cheilinus undulatus), and various species of triggerfish (Balistidae) can often be spotted near the reef structure.

For those watching the open water, pelagics are a regular highlight. You may encounter sharks (Selachimorpha), including whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) and grey reef sharks (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), as well as rays (Batoidea), eagle rays (Aetobatus), and even the occasional whale shark. Schools of jack (Carangidae), trevally, and barracuda, including yellowtail and juvenile varieties, add to the movement in the water column.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants provide constant interest for the observant diver. Look for octopus (Octopus vulgaris), cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various species of scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae). You might also find seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and various shrimp (Caridea) tucked into the reef.

The seascape is defined by healthy coral growth, including brain coral, soft corals, and sea fans (Gorgoniidae). These structures support a dense population of reef fish, such as butterflyfish (Chaetodon), parrotfish (Calotomus), and clownfish, all living amongst anemones (Actiniaria) and sponges (Porifera).
