Diver's House

Located in Dahab, approximately 90 km north of Sharm El Sheikh, INMO Divers Home has been a fixture of the local diving community since 1989. Founded by Ingrid and Mohamed Kabany, the centre combines a professional diving operation with integrated accommodation, offering a seamless experience for those looking to stay where they dive.

The centre is situated just 500 metres south of the Masbat tourist centre, positioned directly on the water's edge. This location provides immediate access to the house reef, allowing you to move between your accommodation and the water with ease.

The centre is managed by Ingrid and Mohamed Kabany, maintaining a family-oriented atmosphere throughout the operation. Instruction and guiding are conducted in English and German, catering to a diverse international membership.

Safety and personalised attention are central to the way they work, with dive groups strictly limited to a maximum of six divers per guide. This ensures that whether you are working through a course or exploring a new site, you receive the necessary support from your instructor or guide.

INMO Divers Home provides a comprehensive range of training through both PADI and SSI affiliations. You can begin your journey with the Open Water Diver course and progress through to the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

For those looking to move into professional diving, the centre also offers the Divemaster course. All training is conducted with a focus on individual progression and safety.

The shore-based facilities are well-equipped for both local reef dives and excursions. The centre operates four Bauer compressors with a capacity of 1400 litres of air per minute, and a dedicated Nitrox filling station is available on-site.

For those needing to hire kit, a full range of equipment is available, including dive computers, fins, masks, and snorkels. They also provide wetsuits and carry a selection of smaller cylinders, such as 5, 7, and 8-litre models, specifically for children.

The surrounding waters are rich with reef life. You will regularly encounter various species including Grouper (Epinephelus), Lionfish (Pterois volitans), and several types of rays, such as blue-spotted rays. Schools of fish are a constant presence, including Glassfish (Atherinidae), snappers, and yellowtail barracudas.

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to observe among the corals and crevices. Look out for Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Shrimp (Caridea), and Spanish dancers. Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) and various nudibranchs also inhabit the reef beds.

Larger animals include turtles and various pelagics. You may also spot eagle rays (Aetobatus) or encounter different types of reef sharks. The coral scenery itself is a highlight, with a diverse array of soft corals, sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and various sponges (Porifera) covering the walls.

Diving in Dahab is possible year-round. The area is particularly pleasant from April to June and again from October to November, when water temperatures typically range between 23°C and 27°C.
