Playa Las Perlas is the closest named beach, around 1.8 miles away on foot, or 2.5 miles by car; Playa Linda is about 2.5 miles on foot. You will want transport for a beach or boat day rather than planning to stroll there in flip-flops with a full dive kit.

The immediate surroundings are more useful for daily life than for postcard posing. A restaurant called El Principio is right by the hotel, Restaurante Delicias de Italia is around 150 feet away, and Jugos y Licuados is about 250 feet away. Starbucks is roughly 400 feet away, while Bar & Karaoke Acústico and McCarthy’s are both within a few minutes on foot.

For a change of scene, Parque las Palapas is about 1 mile away on foot, and the Cancún Bus Station is around 1.2 miles away on foot. Cancún International Airport is 8 miles from the hotel by road, with the airport railway station around 11 miles away by car.

The room choice is straightforward. A Standard Room with two double beds is the sensible arrangement when you are sharing with family or friends and want separate sleeping space; it accommodates up to four people. For two divers travelling as a pair, the Deluxe King Room gives you one extra-large double bed and a simpler layout for the night.

Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower or bath, towels, toiletries and a hairdryer. After a hot day outside, that cooling system is the practical luxury: less romance, more chance of sleeping properly. A balcony, wardrobe, clothes rack and bedside socket take care of the unglamorous business of drying yourself, putting kit away and charging the essentials.

Views vary between the inner courtyard, garden, pool and city. A desk, flat-screen television with cable and satellite channels, telephone and free Wi-Fi give you somewhere to sort the next day’s plans, although the room remains a place to recover rather than a self-contained entertainment complex. Daily housekeeping keeps the reset simple, and the lift reaches the upper floors.

Breakfast is served as a buffet from 6:00 am to 11:00 am. That broad window suits a dive schedule better than a precious little breakfast slot: you can eat before an early departure or take your time on a non-diving morning. The food is the hotel’s breakfast offer, not a full-board arrangement.

For lunch or dinner, you will be relying on the city around you. El Principio is immediately nearby, while Delicias de Italia and Jugos y Licuados are within a short walk. The choice is refreshingly simple after a day in a wetsuit: sit down close to the hotel, or walk a few minutes towards the bars and restaurants around Av. Bonampak.

There is no hotel bar to plan around, and alcohol is prohibited on the property. Bar & Karaoke Acústico and McCarthy’s are both a few minutes away on foot if you want an evening drink or some noise after dinner. If quiet is the priority, the hotel’s garden and pool area make more sense than karaoke; diving and vocal performance are not obliged to share a skill set.

The main place to decompress is the large outdoor swimming pool, open year-round, with sun umbrellas beside it. It gives you somewhere to cool off without making a separate beach trip, and the garden adds a little breathing room around the city-centre address. Outdoor furniture on the balcony and around the grounds gives you a place to sit rather than immediately collapsing on the bed.

There is no spa programme to organise, so the rhythm here is uncomplicated: swim, sit in the shade, read, then head out for food. For a couple, that can be enough after a morning in the water, particularly if the alternative is another organised activity delivered at high volume.

When you want to leave the property, Parque las Palapas is about 1 mile away on foot, while Parque Urbano Ecológico Kabah is around 1.4 miles away. The Mayan Museum and El Rey Mayan ruins are both about 6 miles from the hotel, giving you two clear options for a non-diving day: urban parkland close by, or a cultural outing that needs transport.

Check-in runs from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm, and check-out is from noon to 12:30 pm. You need to show photo identification and a credit card at check-in, and the hotel needs your expected arrival time in advance.
