The Blue Abyss Dive Shop

As an established PADI Dive Centre, the shop provides instruction for a wide spectrum of divers. The team handles everything from Discover Scuba Diving for beginners to professional-level training for those pursuing their Divemaster certification.

Instruction is delivered in English and German, alongside local Filipino and Visayan languages. This multilingual approach ensures clear communication for international visitors and local divers alike. Training is conducted in small groups to maintain a focused environment.

The reefs around Moalboal are a riot of colour, defined by a dense architecture of hard corals, soft corals, whip corals, and large fan corals. You will find a rich variety of sponges, including tube sponges, and various crinoids decorating the seabed.

Large pelagics and schooling fish are common in the open water and along the walls. You can expect to encounter Great barracuda, tuna, and Spanish mackerel, alongside various species of snapper and sweetlips (Plectorhinchus). White tip reef sharks and blacktip reef sharks are also known to visit the deeper sections of the walls.

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to observe in the crevices and on the sandy patches. The area is home to a diverse array of nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and various species of shrimp (Caridea).
