Atlantis Diving Lanzarote

Located in the heart of Puerto del Carmen, Atlantis Diving Lanzarote has been a staple of the local diving community for 18 years. As a PADI 5* Dive Resort, the centre is managed by Nuria Olivé, a leading PADI Trainer in Spain, ensuring a high standard of professional instruction for every diver.

All excursions are conducted via the Maresia I, the centre's own dedicated boat, allowing for direct access to the best local dive sites. Whether you are looking for your first immersion or advanced training, the focus remains on precision and safety in a volcanic landscape.

The team consists of four professional instructors, maintaining a strict ratio of maximum three divers per guide. This ensures a high level of individual attention and safety during every dive.

Instruction is provided in Spanish, and the centre offers a full range of PADI certifications. From beginner levels to professional training, the expertise on site is extensive.

The centre offers a comprehensive curriculum of PADI courses. This includes introductory sessions, Open Water Diver, and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

For those looking to progress further, they provide EFR First Aid, Rescue, and professional-level training including Divemaster and Instructor courses. Nitrox certification is also available for divers looking to extend their bottom times.

All diving excursions are conducted using the Maresia I, the centre's private boat. This dedicated vessel provides quick access to the premier dive sites around the coast.

The boat supports various types of diving, including night dives. Nitrox is available for use during your trips.

The centre provides a complete range of rental kit from Cressi, including regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits. All equipment is well-maintained and suitable for the local conditions.

For safety, the centre is equipped with oxygen for emergency use and maintains proximity to a hyperbaric chamber in Arrecife.

The volcanic walls and reefs are home to a variety of large species. You can frequently encounter angel sharks (Squatina), stingrays (Myliobatiformes), and various species of rays (Batoidea).

In the deeper sections and near the reefs, you will find groupers (Epinephelinae), barracuda (Sphyraena), and various species of seabream. Schools of tropical fish and sardines (Sardina pilchardus) are common throughout the area.

For those interested in macro life, the seabed hosts a variety of smaller creatures. You can find octopus (Octopus vulgaris), seahorses (Hippocampus), and various species of shrimp (Caridea).

The local diving environment is characterised by high visibility, typically ranging between 25 and 30 metres. The water is calm in many of the reef areas, such as the Museo Atlántico, making it suitable for a wide range of divers.
