Lanzarote Non Stop Divers

Situated in Playa Blanca, just 30 metres from Playa Dorada, Lanzarote Non Stop Divers serves as a central hub for diving on the island. The centre is positioned to provide easy access to the coastline, with the Papagayo beaches only a short distance away.

With more than two decades of experience, the centre has established itself as a key training facility on Lanzarote. They operate with a focus on small groups, ensuring that whether you are a novice or an experienced diver, the experience remains tailored to your specific level of certification.

The centre is a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Centre) and a PADI CDC (Career Development Centre). It is led by Thayany, a PADI Platinum Course Director, one of the highest levels of instructor training globally.

Two PADI Course Directors are on-site, with one providing daily supervision of all training programmes to maintain high standards of safety and instruction. The team is multilingual, providing guidance in English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and French.

For those looking to turn diving into a profession, the centre runs four instructor training courses per year. They also offer scholarships to support divers pursuing a professional career in the industry.

The training catalogue covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver courses, with further progression through Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers several PADI specialty courses, including Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Underwater Navigation. Professional training is a core focus, with paths leading from Divemaster through to the IDC for aspiring instructors.

The centre provides full kit hire using equipment from Mares and Cressi. This includes a wide range of items for both recreational diving and snorkeling.

On-site facilities include dedicated areas for rinsing equipment, showers, and lockers. There is also a rest area and Wi-Fi available in the common spaces to make post-dive relaxation easier.

The reefs and sandy areas around Playa Blanca host a diverse range of species. You can find various rays (Batoidea), including angel sharks (Squatina), and butterfly rays. Large pelagic species like tuna (Thunnus) and barracudas (Sphyraena barracuda) are often present in the area.

In the rocky sections and reef structures, look for groupers (Epinephelus), triggerfish (Balistidae), and various species of seabream. You may also encounter parrotfishes, moray eels (Muraenidae), and scorpionfish. Schools of fish, including sardines (Sardina pilchardus) and damselfish (Pomacentridae), add constant movement to the underwater landscape.

For macro enthusiasts, the area is rich with smaller life. You can find several types of nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), octopus (Octopus vulgaris), and cuttlefish (Sepiidae). Look closely for garden eels (Gorgasia), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), shrimp (Caridea), and various crabs (Brachyura).

Diving in Lanzarote is possible year-round, with water temperatures typically starting from 20°C. The area is known for its good visibility, particularly around sites like Playa Flamingo.

Divers should be aware that plankton levels can occasionally increase, which may cause minor irritation to the outer ear mucosa.
