Océanos de Fuego (ODF) has been operating in Lanzarote since 2013, providing a dedicated hub for divers looking to explore the Canary Islands. The centre is recognised by the local government and is built around a concept that integrates professional instruction with comfortable, beachfront living.

Located in a prime position on the island, the centre serves as a base for both local exploration and structured training. It is particularly noted for its commitment to marine conservation, working alongside initiatives like the Angel Shark Project to protect the local ecosystem.

Océanos de Fuego is a PADI affiliated centre offering a full spectrum of training. You can start your journey with the Open Water Diver course or progress through the advanced levels to reach the Divemaster certification.

The centre provides Nitrox for divers looking to extend their bottom time. For those travelling without their own kit, a range of equipment is available for hire to ensure you have everything required for your dives.

To make logistics easier, the centre has a partnership with Autos Cabrera Medina, allowing you to arrange a car rental to move around the island more easily between the centre and various dive sites.

The marine life around Lanzarote is diverse, with various reef fish and larger species frequenting the volcanic coastline. You can regularly encounter species such as the pearly razorfish, dusky grouper (Epinephelus marginatus), and various types of seabream.

For those interested in larger animals, the area is home to several species of rays, including stingrays (Myliobatiformes) and butterfly rays. You may also spot barracuda (Sphyraena), sea bass, and various species of tuna (Thunnus) passing through the area.

Macro life and crustaceans are also present, including spiny lobsters (Palinuridae) and various types of shrimp. Divers should keep an eye out for octopus (Octopus vulgaris), seahorses (Hippocampus), and different varieties of crabs (Brachyura) tucked into the reef structures.

The seabed is decorated with a variety of fixed life, including sponges (Porifera), anemones, and orange corals, which provide essential habitats for the local resident species.
