Nautilus Dive Center

Located in La Richardais, near Dinard and Saint Malo, Nautilus Dive Center has been operating since 2010. The centre serves as a permanent base in Northern Brittany, providing a gateway to the unique underwater landscapes of the Ille-et-Vilaine region.

The centre is designed to accommodate divers at every stage of their journey, from those taking their first breath underwater to experienced technical divers. Whether you are looking for a guided exploration of local bays or structured training to advance your skills, the operation is built around small groups and professional standards.

Founded by David and Lydia, the centre is run by a team of professional instructors dedicated to a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. They prioritise diving in small committees, ensuring that each diver receives the attention required for a safe and enjoyable experience.

The team offers a comprehensive range of instruction, including specialized training in photography, videography, and marine biology. They also provide first aid training (PSC, PSE1) and various professional diving certifications, reflecting a deep commitment to both diver safety and technical proficiency.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of diving disciplines. Beginners can start with introductory dives or 'baptêmes', while those seeking certification can progress through various levels, including PE 12 and Scaphandrier classe 2 B.

For more advanced divers, the centre offers specialized technical training in Nitrox, Trimix, and rebreather diving. They also provide instruction in drysuit diving, mask diving, and professional monitorat courses. Beyond core diving, you can undergo training in underwater photography, video, and marine biology.

The centre operates a comfortable 20-place boat for diving trips. The vessel is equipped with a barbecue on board, making it a practical choice for longer days on the water. The boat is used for various excursions, including night dives and exploring the local coastal areas.

The shore base in La Richardais is well-equipped for divers preparing for their sessions. It features heated changing rooms, individual showers, and toilets to ensure comfort after a dive. A combination suit dryer is also available on-site.

For gas management, the centre maintains a full station capable of providing Air, Nitrox, Trimix, and Oxygen. This makes it a functional hub for technical divers requiring specific gas blends for deeper or more complex profiles.

Diving in this region is subject to the natural tidal and weather patterns of the Brittany coast. The centre adapts its schedule to the weather, ensuring that dives are conducted under safe conditions, even for solo divers when the sea allows.

During the winter, the focus often shifts to quarry diving to provide a stable environment for technical training and skill maintenance.
