Tiki Dive

Based in Cavalaire-sur-Mer, Tiki Dive serves as a gateway to the protected waters of the Port-Cros and Porquerolles National Park. This location provides direct access to some of the most significant marine reserves in the Mediterranean, where biodiversity is strictly managed and exceptionally preserved.

Affiliated with FFESSM, SSI, and Mares, the centre provides a professional framework for both recreational and technical progression. The team manages a wide range of certifications, from initial entry-level courses to advanced instructor training and professional monitorat levels.

Environmental responsibility is integrated into their operations, including the use of biodegradable products for maintenance and a commitment to recycling neoprene. They also work in partnership with Longitude 181 to support local marine conservation efforts.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of SSI and FFESSM certifications. Beginners can start with introductory sessions and the Open Water Diver course, while more experienced divers can progress through Advanced Open Water and various SSI specialties.

For those looking to turn a passion into a career, the centre offers professional training including Monitorat Dejeps, MF1, and instructor-level courses. Technical and specialised training is also available, such as drysuit diving, mixed gas diving, and courses for divers with disabilities (EH2 Handisub).

The centre operates a dedicated yacht that accommodates up to 12 people, with 8 guests able to stay on board for liveaboard trips. The vessel is designed for comfort during extended periods at sea, featuring private cabins, two bathrooms, and dedicated sunbathing areas.

Onboard facilities include a freshwater shower, lounge spaces, and the provision of homemade meals, snacks, and drinks. For those looking for day trips, the yacht provides a stable platform to reach the most remote sites within the National Park. Nitrox is available for use on board.

A full range of diving kit is available for hire, covering all the essentials for a Mediterranean dive. For those requiring specialised equipment, the centre provides various options to suit different diving styles.

Safety is a priority on shore, with oxygen (O2) safety equipment maintained on site. The centre's commitment to the environment extends to their kit management, including the recycling of old neoprene.

The marine life in this area is defined by the protection of the National Park, leading to large populations of iconic species. You will frequently encounter Dusky grouper (Epinephelus marginatus) and various species of Wrasse (Labridae) patrolling the reefs.

The rocky habitats are home to a wide array of invertebrates and fixed life, including colourful sponges, sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and various invertebrates. These structures provide the essential architecture for the local ecosystem.

Macro life and smaller residents are abundant among the crevices, where you can find scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), moray eels (Muraenidae), and various species of lobster (Homaridae). Look closely for galatheid squat lobsters and other small crustaceans inhabiting the reef structure.

The centre operates year-round, though they typically operate on request from December through March.
