Dollfin

Dollfin has been operating in the Haute-Corse region since 2001, originally founded in Erbalunga before moving to its current location in Sisco. Situated just a few kilometres from Bastia, the centre occupies a 3,000 m² space that connects directly to the beach, providing an easy transition from land to sea.

The centre serves as both a diving school and an exploration hub, focusing on the diverse underwater topography of the Cap Corse coastline. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or are an experienced diver seeking wreck or deep diving specialties, the facility is designed to support a wide range of aquatic interests.

The team is led by Thierry Doll, an SSI Instructor Trainer, and includes several highly qualified professionals such as Jessica Doll, Jean-Bernard Buisson, Philippe Rebaudengo, and Pierre Letailleur. The staff includes DEJEPS-level instructors and experienced dive professionals, ensuring a high standard of safety and instruction.

As an affiliated SSI and FFESSM centre, Dollfin follows strict safety standards, including compliance with the NF EN 14467 norm. The centre is a family-run business that has grown through new partnerships in recent years, maintaining a professional approach to both training and recreational diving.

Dollfin is a comprehensive training centre offering courses through both SSI and FFESSM. For beginners, the curriculum includes Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications, alongside the Basic Diver and Advanced Adventurer programmes.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers several SSI specialty courses, including Wreck Diving, Deep Diving, Navigation and Orientation, and Night and Limited Visibility diving. They also provide Perfect Buoyancy training and Stress and Rescue courses to help divers refine their skills and safety management.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment, including BCDs, wetsuits, torches for night dives, and dive computers. A dedicated boutique is available on-site for those looking to purchase their own kit.

Beyond scuba diving, the facility offers various nautical equipment for hire, such as single and double kayaks, as well as underwater scooters for guided excursions. A relaxation area is also available for divers to unwind and have a picnic after their sessions.

The rocky reefs and wrecks of the Sisco area are home to a diverse range of Mediterranean species. You can regularly observe groupers, large slipper lobsters, and various species of wrasse, alongside moray eels and conger eels. The rocky structures are often populated by octopuses, crabs, and various shrimp.

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to observe, including seahorses, pipefish, and various species of goby. The seabed and crevices also host many molluscs, such as cowries and murex, as well as spiny spider crabs.

In the open water and around the reefs, you may encounter larger pelagics such as amberjack, leerfish, tuna, and denti corse. During the summer months, great barracuda are also known to visit the area.

The primary diving season runs from May to September. While specific details on currents and swell are not provided, the local topography includes various rocky outcrops and wrecks that offer different types of underwater environments.
