Established in 2011, Black Rock Dive Centre has built a reputation in Sharm El Sheikh for providing structured, small-group diving experiences. As a PADI affiliated centre, they offer a wide breadth of training and daily guided excursions. While they are well-known for their Red Sea operations, the organisation also maintains a presence in Greece, specifically in Lesvos and Lemnos, reflecting their long-standing experience in the Mediterranean as well as the Red Sea.

It is common to encounter various sharks, such as Whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus), Grey reef sharks (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), and Blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus). Larger species including Tuna (Thunnus), Jack (Carangidae), and various species of barracuda can often be seen passing through the water column.

In the shallower reef areas, you can observe a high density of colourful reef fish like Parrotfish (Calotomus), Snapper (Lutjanus), and Fusilier (Caesio) schools. Look closely at the reef structure for Moray eels (Muraenidae), Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), and various species of Stonefish (Synanceia).

For macro enthusiasts, the environment is rich with detail. You can find Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), various species of Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), and Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda). The sandy patches and crevices also host Blue spotted stingrays, Garden eels (Gorgasia), and various species of shrimp and crabs.

The best period for diving in this region is from May until October. During these months, the conditions are generally favourable for a wide range of diving activities, including night dives which the centre actively conducts.
