Blue Sea Dive Club

Located in Sharm El Sheikh, Blue Sea Dive Club operates as a PADI 5 Star centre dedicated to high standards of safety and professional instruction. The centre is positioned to provide easy access to some of the most famous dive sites in the region, including the house reef at White Knight.

The reefs are home to a vast array of colourful reef fish, including parrotfish, snappers, and various species of grouper (Epinephelus). You will often encounter large schools of fusilier, mackerels, and tuna (Thunnus) passing through the area. Large pelagics such as barracudas and various sharks, including whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus) and grey reef sharks (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), are frequently sighted.

The hard and soft corals form a complex landscape, featuring gorgonian fans, sea fans (Gorgoniidae), and Porites coral heads. Divers can also observe various sponges and black corals decorating the walls and pinnacles.

For those interested in macro life, the crevices and sandy patches hold nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), octopuses (Octopus vulgaris), and various species of scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae). You may also find garden eels (Gorgasia), sea anemones (Actiniaria), and various species of shrimp and crabs.

Seasonal sightings include hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini) from May to August, and manta rays (Mobula alfredi) in April and May. Whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) may also be seen during the plankton-rich months of May and June.

Conditions across the Red Sea vary significantly by site. Some locations, such as the Tiran reefs, are known for extremely violent currents in certain sections, while others like Abu Dabbab offer calm, current-free environments.

Divers should be prepared for varying current profiles, ranging from negligible to very strong, particularly at sites like Thomas Reef or the northern sections of Jackson Reef. Night diving is a regular part of the local diving profile, particularly at the Temple site.
