Safety and small group sizes are central to the operation, with a guide-to-diver ratio of 2 divers per guide. The centre also maintains a strong commitment to marine conservation through its partnership with PADI Project AWARE.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of PADI courses, catering to everyone from those taking their first breaths underwater to professional divers. You can start with the Open Water Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver courses, or refine your skills with the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.

For those looking to progress their careers, the centre provides instruction for Divemaster, PADI Jr. Divemaster, and Master Scuba Diver Trainer, as well as the IDC Staff Instructor programme. Specialist training is also available, including the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer workshop.

For those looking to extend their bottom time or increase safety margins, Nitrox is available on-site. You can also complete your Nitrox training with the instructors at the centre.

The Sea of Cortez is a highly productive marine environment. You will regularly encounter a variety of pelagic fish, sea lions, and colourful reef fish. Depending on the time of year, you may also see dolphins and turtles.

Between May and July, the area becomes a hotspot for Mobula rays (Mobula alfredi). If you visit between late October and May, you have the opportunity to dive with whale sharks.

For those interested in macro life, the seabed and reef structures host a diverse array of species. Look closely for seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and various species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris). You might also spot frogfish (Antennarius) or garden eels (Gorgasia) amongst the substrate.

Invertebrates and smaller residents are abundant, including various sea stars, sea urchins, and yellow arrowline crabs. The reefs are also home to many species of snapper (Lutjanus), grouper (Epinephelus), and angelfish (Pomacanthidae).

The best time to visit is typically in May, when the water is warm and you have the highest chance of seeing mobula rays, mantas, and whale sharks. The late summer and early autumn also offer pleasant water temperatures and calm conditions.
