This is a small aparthotel in Pattaya South, with seven rooms and the useful feeling of having a little more control over your stay than you get in a standard hotel room.

English and Thai are spoken by the host, while the hotel's website is also available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. The atmosphere is practical rather than staged: you have a balcony, a kitchenette, a dining area and free WiFi, so you can eat simply, sort out your plans and retreat from Pattaya when the day has taken enough out of you.

Jomtien Beach is also around 1 mile from the property, with the local area set up for short trips rather than barefoot access from the reception.

That positioning puts everyday conveniences close at hand. A café is about 350 metres away, Wine O Clock Pattaya is roughly 300 metres away, and restaurants including 7 Spa Masha are within about 350 metres. In other words, you can find food and a drink without turning the evening into another expedition.

Pratumnak Hill and Pattaya Hill are nearby for a change of scenery, with Pattaya Viewpoint around 1 mile away. Pattaya South station is about 2 miles from the aparthotel, and U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport is approximately 21 miles away by road.

The room is built around the needs of a couple or a solo traveller who would rather not live entirely out of a dive bag. A large bed, private bathroom and air conditioning give you the basics for proper recovery, while the kitchenette adds something more useful than another decorative cushion: you can make tea or coffee, keep drinks in the refrigerator and sit down at the dining table instead of balancing dinner on the edge of the bed.

This is not the place for a programme of organised resort activities, which may be precisely the point after a run of diving days. Your built-in leisure plan is the balcony, the air conditioning, a shower and a bed that lets you stop being sociable for a while. Free WiFi and a desk are there if you need to check travel arrangements, answer messages or pretend that you will only look at one more thing before dinner.

Golf is available in the surrounding area, and the property provides access to local entertainment and scuba diving. For a gentler outing, Pattaya Viewpoint is around 1 mile away, Pattaya Park Tower about 1 mile away and Underwater World Pattaya roughly 2 miles away. Pattaya Hill is also close enough to give you a reason to leave the room without committing to a full day's excursion.

If your companion has finished diving for the day, the nearby beaches, cafés and viewpoints provide simple ways to fill a few hours. The arrangement is independent rather than choreographed: you choose the pace, and the aparthotel gives you a room in which to recover afterwards.

A 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping and luggage storage make the practical side uncomplicated. The airport journey is roughly 21 miles by road, so arranging the transfer with the property is the sensible option if you are arriving with dive luggage or landing at an awkward hour.

The property is non-smoking and does not accept pets. Upper floors are accessible by stairs only, while some units are on the ground floor.
