Koh Khrok is a small, tranquil island located only 9 kilometres east of Pattaya Beach, making it the closest dive site to the mainland. The site primarily consists of gentle coral gardens and vibrant reef formations that extend into the shallows, providing shelter for a variety of marine life. Its proximity to Pattaya makes for short boat rides, offering more time underwater, especially valuable for those looking to maximize their bottom time on shallower profiles.

The topography of Koh Khrok is generally consistent, with gradual slopes that transition from shallow coral ecosystems down to deeper sandy flats. This structure creates a diverse habitat where you'll find everything from intricate macro subjects hidden within the corals to larger reef fish patrolling the perimeters. Visibility at Koh Khrok typically ranges between 5 metres and 15 metres, influenced by local conditions, plankton blooms, and tidal movements. The best periods often coincide with the drier months, from November to April, when the seas are generally calmer and water clarity tends to improve across the region. Even on days with lower visibility, the abundance of macro life and the close encounters with turtles still make the dive rewarding.
