Sas Corsica Sub

Corsica Sub is situated in the unique setting of the Vieux Port in Bastia, providing a direct gateway to the waters of the Cap Corse Marine Park. The centre's location allows for easy access to a variety of underwater landscapes, from deep wrecks to colourful rocky formations.

Whether you are looking to begin your training or are an experienced diver seeking to explore local shipwrecks, the centre provides the necessary infrastructure. The operations are centred around the Napadelis, a semi-rigid boat designed to transport divers to the most interesting sites in the region.

The team is led by two instructors, Maud and Rémi, who manage all diving activities and training programmes. They focus on providing a safe and pedagogical environment for both beginners and advanced divers.

Instruction is available in French. The centre caters to a wide range of abilities, offering everything from introductory sessions to advanced technical training and specialised skills courses.

The centre offers a comprehensive curriculum through both FFESSM and SSI affiliations. For those following the FFESSM path, courses range from Niveau 1 through to Niveau 4, including specialised PE certifications such as PE12, PE20, PE40, and PE60.

SSI divers can complete the full progression from Basic Diver and Open Water Diver to advanced levels and various specialties. Specific skill-building courses are available, including SSI Specialty Buoyancy, Orientation, Night, and Deep (40m), as well as the SSI Rescue Diver programme.

The Napadelis is a semi-rigid vessel with a capacity for 20 divers. It is used to reach the various dive sites throughout the Cap Corse Marine Park, including the more distant wrecks and rocky reefs.

Nitrox is available on board for divers who require enriched air for their excursions.

The centre provides a full range of equipment for hire, including regulators, BCDs, and exposure suits. For night dives, torches are available for rent, as are dive computers.

Nitrox is available for use, and the centre offers various cylinder sizes, including 12-litre and 15-litre options.

The rocky reefs and canyons of the area are home to a diverse array of large fish. You will regularly encounter groupers, forkbeard, dentex, and seabream, alongside barracuda and various species of moray eels.

The seabed and rocky crevices are rich in macro life. Divers can find various species of nudibranchs, octopuses, and scorpionfish, as well as crayfish and slipper lobsters, the latter appearing seasonally.

The marine flora is equally impressive, with gorgonians, anemones, and various sponges coating the rocks. Large clams and seagrass meadows provide a complex habitat for the local inhabitants, including rays and various species of crabs and lobsters.

The centre operates year-round, offering both summer and winter diving seasons. The sites vary significantly in depth and complexity, from shallow reef flats to deep wrecks and canyons.
