Ty Plonge

Situated in the heart of the Golfe du Morbihan, Ty Plonge operates from the Port du Logeo in Sarzeau. The centre is ideally positioned to access the varied underwater landscapes of the gulf, as well as the more open waters of the Quiberon Bay and the waters surrounding Houat island.

Since its establishment in 2022, the centre has focused on providing professional service to both beginners and experienced divers. The seasonal window for diving runs from April to November, with organised departures typically scheduled from Monday to Saturday during the summer months.

Ty Plonge is an FFESSM affiliated centre, ensuring that all training and dive activities follow established national standards. The team is composed of professionals with extensive local knowledge of the Morbihan area, providing instruction in French.

The centre manages a range of activities from introductory dives for novices to more advanced exploration for autonomous divers. Their approach is built on years of experience navigating the specific conditions of the local coastal and gulf environments.

The training programme follows the FFESSM curriculum, covering a broad spectrum of skill levels. Beginners can start with the Niveau 1 (N1) or the PE12 course, while those looking to progress can work towards the Niveau 2 (N2) or advanced certifications like the PA12, PE40, and PA40.

For divers looking to enhance their underwater capabilities, the centre offers specialised Nitrox training, including both elementary and advanced levels. Technical diving training is also available for those looking to push beyond recreational limits.

The centre offers a range of equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes essential items such as wetsuits, masks, fins, and snorkels, as well as more technical pieces like regulators, BCDs, torches, and dive computers.

For divers looking to extend their bottom time, Nitrox is available on-site. The centre provides cylinder filling services for various volumes, including 6-litre, 10-litre, 12-litre, and 15-litre cylinders.

Diving in the Golfe du Morbihan is best experienced between April and November. The area is subject to the typical tidal influences of the Atlantic coast, which can affect water movement within the gulf and around the islands of Houat and Quiberon.

Divers should be aware that certain sites, particularly those near the exit of the gulf or around the Bay of Quiberon, may require different planning due to local conditions.
