The reefs around Sharm El Sheikh are a vibrant tapestry of hard corals (Scleractinia) and soft corals (Alcyonacea). These structures host massive schools of fusilier, snappers (Lutjanus), and anthias (Anthias).

Large pelagics are a significant draw for the region. Depending on the site, you may encounter eagle rays (Aetobatus), various species of sharks including reef sharks (Carcharhinus) and whitetip sharks (Triaenodon obesus), as well as occasional sightings of hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini). The area is home to various nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and diverse species of octopus (Octopus vulgaris). You can also spot garden eels (Gorgasia) and various species of scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) amongst the reef structure.

Throughout the sites, you will regularly see turtles (Cheloniidae), moray eels (Muraenidae), and large groupers (Epinephelus). The reef tops are often busy with colourful reef fish, including butterflyfish (Chaetodon), parrotfish (Calotomus), and various species of pufferfish (Arothron hispidus).

Diving conditions in the area can vary depending on the specific site and the weather. While many sites offer sheltered environments, some locations, such as Woodhouse Reef, are known for having strong currents that require experience.

The centre selects dive sites based on current sea states and weather conditions to ensure safety and enjoyment. Divers should be prepared for a variety of topographies, ranging from shallow reef flats to steep vertical walls and deep canyons.
