You have a garden, a sun terrace, outdoor seating and a common barbecue area, while the suites give you the freedom to organise the day around your own rhythm. English and Spanish are spoken by the hotel team, so you can deal with the useful things clearly, whether that means arrival arrangements, a tour or a request for the room.

Couples get the easy version of island life here: water outside, the centre of Cozumel within walking distance and enough space to sit down properly. It is also a sensible choice if you prefer to make your own breakfast or evening snack rather than wait for a restaurant to remember that divers do, in fact, eat.

The airport is exceptionally close: Cozumel International Airport sits roughly 0.04 miles away, with the property describing it as just a few steps from the hotel. That is convenient on arrival and equally useful on departure, although aircraft movements are a detail worth bearing in mind when choosing your room.

The accommodation is built around space and self-sufficiency. Every suite has a kitchenette, and the larger options give you a proper living and dining area rather than somewhere to balance a takeaway on the edge of the bed. You can enter the water from the hotel and snorkel from shore; bring your own snorkelling equipment. One practical wrinkle is that getting out of the water may be less straightforward, with a possible lack of steps mentioned for the exit, so check the conditions before committing to a long swim.

When you want something away from the pool and shoreline, the hotel can help organise visits to places of interest around Cozumel, cenote swimming, jungle walks and a temazcal. Yoga is available through Xkanha, an external holistic retreat centre in the Cozumel jungle, with private and personalised sessions. These are activities for a non-diving day or for a companion who wants a different pace, rather than filler between two compulsory resort shows.
