Gili Gede Beach is directly accessible from the bungalows, and Gili Layar Beach is about 2.4 miles away. Gili Rengit Beach is roughly 2.7 miles away, while Elak Elak Beach is about 2.8 miles away. For a change of scenery on land, Pulau Gili Gede is around 1.3 miles away and Gili Kura-Kura about 3 miles away.

The residential area is about a ten-minute walk from the bungalow. That gives you a look at local island life on the way: fishing, children playing by the sea and residents gathering along the beach. Lombok International Airport is about 33 miles away by road.

With only two rooms, the choice is straightforward rather than a small exercise in catalogue management. Couples can take the sea-view option for the sunrise from bed, while the terrace option gives you an outdoor place to sit when the day is done. Both are made for two guests and have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a double or king-size bed and a desk.

The direct beach position does the heavy lifting here. You can step outside to the sand, feel the sea breeze and avoid the usual post-dive march through a sprawling resort. Air conditioning helps when the day has been hot and salty, and the private bathroom keeps the useful basics close.

This is a small island property, not a soundproof urban block. Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 23:00, and the bungalow's sea-facing position puts the morning light firmly on the agenda. Daily housekeeping, room service, luggage storage and laundry are available for the practical end of a diving stay.

Breakfast is included and follows both Continental and Asian lines, with breakfast available in your room if you prefer not to move too quickly in the morning. The on-site restaurant covers brunch, lunch, dinner and high tea, with Indonesian and American dishes on the table rather than a single cuisine repeated in different fonts.

The useful detail for divers is that meals and coffee can also be served on the boat during diving trips. Packed lunches are available too, so a full day on the water does not require an emergency hunt for biscuits in your luggage.

The restaurant can cater for halal, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets. There is also a coffee house on site, outdoor seating, a child-friendly buffet and room service. A minimarket and drinks vending machine cover the small requests that tend to appear once you are back from the sea.

The beach is the main off-duty facility, and it is right in front of the bungalows. Sun loungers, beach chairs and umbrellas give you somewhere to read, dry off or stare at the lagoon with the concentration usually reserved for a dive computer. The sun terrace, picnic area, outdoor furniture and outdoor fireplace add a few more places to sit when the sand is no longer the answer.

For the muscles that have spent the day carrying cylinders, massages include back, neck, shoulders, feet, head, hands and full body treatments, with couples' massage also available. This is the sort of afternoon plan that requires no briefing and no transport: lie down, let somebody else do the work, and call it recovery.

When you want to move, you can take a walking tour, hire bicycles, join a bike tour, go canoeing or book a local-culture tour. The property also arranges island exploration, boat outings, snorkelling trips, whale-shark trips and island-combination excursions, giving non-diving companions something more substantial than waiting for your return.

For the airport journey, the hotel can arrange a door-to-door transfer combining car and boat from Lombok International Airport, as well as from Gili Trawangan, Gili Gede or Kuta Lombok. If you make your own way, drive to Tembowong port, where secure parking is available, then continue by boat taxi; the crossing takes about ten minutes. Fast boats also connect Gili Gede with Bali's Serangan Harbour and Nusa Penida's Buyuk Harbour, with a journey of about two hours.
