Your dive at Sire Reef begins directly from Pantai Sire beach, or a short boat ride from the Gili area, descending into a flourishing coral garden that immediately sets the tone for a gentle exploration. This fringing reef starts in very shallow water, making it accessible for snorkelers, and gradually slopes to a maximum depth of 12 metres. The topography transitions from dense coral formations to a sandy bottom, offering varied habitats within a compact area. Unlike some of Lombok's more exposed sites, Sire Reef is characterized by its sheltered nature, allowing for a focused observation of the intricate reef structure without the distraction of strong currents.

The defining characteristic of Sire Reef is its role as a vibrant nursery for an impressive array of marine life. As you glide over the reef, you'll encounter countless juvenile fish darting amongst the hard and soft corals.
