Hang Loose Divers

Located directly on Sairee Beach, Hang Loose Divers has been a fixture of the Koh Tao diving scene since 2018. The centre is built around the philosophy of intentional diving, combining professional standards with the laid-back atmosphere of the island.

As an SSI affiliated centre, the operation caters to a wide spectrum of divers. You can begin your journey with a Try Scuba Diving session or progress through a full professional track, all while enjoying the easy access of a beachside base.

The team is led by a highly qualified SSI instructor, ensuring that training follows rigorous professional standards. The centre maintains a low diver-to-guide ratio, with a maximum of four divers per guide to ensure safety and individual attention.

Beyond local training, the centre organises liveaboard expeditions to international destinations such as the Red Sea and the Maldives, led by the founders, Marga and Mery.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering every stage of the SSI progression. Beginners can start with Try Scuba Diving or the Open Water Diver course, with subsequent levels including Advanced Open Water, Deep Diving, and Navigation.

For those looking to refine their skills, specialized programmes are available in Perfect Buoyancy, Night & Limited Visibility, and Stress & Rescue. The centre also offers more technical paths, including Wreck Penetration, Recreational Sidemount, Decompression Diving, and the Independent Diver course.

Professional candidates can train through to Divemaster and Open Water Instructor levels. Combo courses are also available, such as the Open Water and Advanced combo, or the Sidemount and Independent Diver combination.

The centre operates a dedicated boat designed for efficiency and comfort. It features an open sun deck for relaxing between dives and is configured to reach the best dive sites around Koh Tao quickly.

To keep dive schedules running smoothly, the boat is equipped with an on-board compressor, allowing for rapid cylinder changes. For those heading out for night dives, the boat is fully prepared for nocturnal excursions.

The centre provides a full range of rental kit for those not travelling with their own equipment. All gear is noted as being well-maintained and of high quality.

On-site, Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. The presence of an on-board compressor on the boat further supports efficient gas management during the day.

The area is accessible for diving throughout the entire year, providing consistent opportunities for both recreational and professional training.
