Diving Privilège Bormes Les Mimosas

Located at the Port de la Favière in Bormes-les-Mimosas, Diving Privilège is a professional diving club with over 30 years of experience. The centre is perfectly positioned to access the protected marine environments of the region, providing a direct gateway to some of the most significant underwater sites in France.

You will find a relaxed, professional atmosphere here, designed for those seeking an intimate diving experience. Instead of large, crowded groups, the focus is on small-scale outings that allow for a more attentive and personalised approach to every dive.

The centre is run by state-certified instructors, Pascal and Siglinde, who bring three decades of expertise to the club. Their long-standing presence in the region ensures a deep knowledge of the local underwater topography and seasonal patterns.

Instruction is delivered in small groups, with a maximum of 6 divers per guide to ensure safety and a social atmosphere. The club also offers specific training programmes for children, making it a suitable choice for families looking to start their diving journey.

The training catalogue covers a full range of certifications through the FFESSM, CMAS, and ANMP frameworks. Beginners can start with the Niveau 1 course, while more advanced divers can progress through the Niveau 2 curriculum.

Specialised training is also available, including dedicated children's programmes consisting of 4 dives to introduce younger divers to the underwater world.

The centre operates a 10m boat that carries 4 to 6 divers per trip. It is well-equipped for your comfort on the water, featuring a sunshade, a freshwater shower for rinsing after dives, and a large storage area for your kit. An aft ladder provides easy access for entries and exits.

For those who prefer not to carry their own heavy gear, the centre provides full kit hire featuring Scubapro equipment. This includes regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits.

The shore-based facilities include a dedicated area for rinsing and storing gear, ensuring everything is ready for your next outing.

The reefs and drop-offs are home to a variety of large species, including dusky grouper (Epinephelinae), barracuda (Sphyraena), and various species of seabream (Sparidae). You will also encounter gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) and various types of conger eels (Congridae) patrolling the rocks.

Fixed life provides a vibrant backdrop to every dive, with extensive meadows of Posidonia seagrass and various species of gorgonians (Gorgonacea). You will also see many sponges and anemones decorating the reef structures.

For those interested in macro life, the area is home to octopus (Octopoda), scorpionfish (Scorpaena), and various species of moray eels (Muraenidae). Spiny lobsters (Palinuridae) are also common among the rocky crevices.

The area is characterised by its proximity to the Port-Cros National Park, which offers a variety of habitats from shallow reef flats to steep drop-offs. The availability of sites depends on the local swell and sea conditions.
