Established in 1997, this centre has become a long-standing reference for diving in Marseille and the surrounding international community. Situated right on the Port de la Pointe Rouge, you can board your boat immediately, with the Calanques National Park reachable in just 20 minutes of navigation.

The centre holds dual certification as a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre and is affiliated with the FFESSM. This dual status ensures you have access to both international PADI standards and the French FFESSM curriculum.

Instruction is available in French, English, and Spanish. The facility includes a large, shaded terrace for relaxing between dives, separate changing rooms, and hot showers.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of certifications, from PADI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver through to Rescue Diver. For those pursuing technical or professional paths, they offer the PA40 (Plongeur autonome 40 m) and instructor training.

The centre also caters to the FFESSM curriculum, providing Niveau 1 and Niveau 2 courses. For those interested in breath-hold diving, PADI Freediver courses are also available.

The fleet includes several vessels, such as the MIIO, a semi-rigid boat specifically configured for snorkeling trips. It features comfortable benches for passengers and an access ladder for easy entry and exit.

Other vessels in the fleet include the Beuchat 2, a 9-metre boat, and the Galathée, which is over 8 metres long. The boats are powered by Suzuki 300 hp engines, and the larger vessels can accommodate between 20 and 24 people.

The shore-based facilities include dedicated stations for AIR and NITROX, utilizing AIR and NITROX compressors to ensure gas availability for your dives.

Full kit hire is available, including 5mm wetsuits, regulators, BCDs, masks, fins, computers, and torches for night diving. The centre also provides a classroom equipped for theoretical instruction and a dedicated space for relaxation and snacking.

The vertical walls and reefs of the area are defined by vibrant fixed life, including various red coral and purple gorgonians. You will also find gorgonian sea fans and sponges decorating the underwater landscape.

In the water column and around the reefs, you can encounter schools of fish, including sea bass, barracuda (Sphyraena), and various types of wrasses. Other common inhabitants include grouper (Epinephelinae), dusky grouper (Epinephelus marginatus), and various species of damselfish (Pomacentridae) and chromis.

For those looking closer, the area hosts a variety of macro life and crustaceans, such as octopus (Octopoda), spiny lobster (Palinuridae), and various species of lobster (Homaridae). You may also spot scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), moray eels (Muraenidae), and various nudibranchs.

The best period for diving in this region is from April to November. While the sites in the Calanques are sheltered and suitable for beginners, you should always check local conditions before heading out.
