Atmosphere Dive Centre

Located in Maayong Tubig, Dauin, Atmosphere Dive Centre is integrated into a luxury resort setting nestled between the mountains and the ocean. It serves as a base for exploring the diverse marine environments of Negros Oriental, ranging from shallow reef flats to deep offshore walls.

The centre is positioned to take advantage of the region's unique underwater topography. You can choose between the macro-rich coastlines of Dauin or the spectacular coral walls of nearby Apo Island, making it a versatile location for both photographers and those seeking large pelagics.

The centre operates with a focus on professional standards, offering a wide array of PADI and TDI programmes. This includes everything from entry-level training to professional development through PADI Divemaster and Instructor Development Courses (IDC).

Beyond standard recreational diving, the team provides instruction in technical diving via TDI, as well as freediving and mermaiding. For younger divers, there are dedicated kids' diving programmes designed to introduce them to the underwater world in a controlled environment.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of PADI certifications including Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water, and various PADI Specialty courses. For those looking to move into a professional career, the centre facilitates Divemaster programmes and Instructor Development Courses (IDC).

Technical divers can access TDI courses and programmes on-site. The centre also offers specialised training in freediving and mermaiding, catering to divers interested in breath-hold techniques and alternative underwater disciplines.

The centre provides Nitrox for all certified Nitrox divers at no additional cost. For those enrolled in a diving course, the hire of full diving kit is included for the duration of your stay.

On-site facilities are designed to support a seamless transition from the water to the resort, with the centre being part of a larger complex that includes various amenities and dining options.

The reefs are defined by a high density of hard corals, soft corals (Alcyonacea), and gorgonian sea fans (Gorgoniidae). You will find a rich architecture of branching hard corals and various sponges (Porifera) providing habitat for a massive array of reef fish.

Large residents include various sea turtles (Cheloniidae), such as the Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and the Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas). Schools of fish, including jacks (Carangidae), bigeye trevally (Caranx), and snapper (Lutjanus), frequently move across the reef, alongside batfish (Platax) and various species of surgeonfish (Acanthuridae).

For macro enthusiasts, the area is exceptional. You can find a wide variety of nudibranchs, flamboyant cuttlefish, and mimic octopus, alongside ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus), and seahorses (Hippocampus kuda). The sandy patches and reef crevices also host frogfish (Antennarius), scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae), and various species of octopus and cuttlefish (Sepiidae).
