The Dive Hub is a PADI 5 Star dive centre situated on the black volcanic sands of Dauin, Philippines. The location is ideal for those focused on muck diving and macro photography, with many of the most interesting sites just a short jeep ride from the centre.

For those looking to head offshore, the centre operates trips to the Apo Island marine sanctuary. This area is famous for its healthy reef walls and abundant turtle populations, accessible via a one-hour catamaran trip.

The centre operates as a small, specialised team where every instructor and guide is a full-time, salaried employee. This structure ensures consistency in training and a high level of professionalism on every boat trip. Safety is managed through low diver-to-guide ratios, never exceeding four divers per guide.

The leadership team brings significant experience to the table, including a PADI Master Instructor and IANTD Normoxic CCR instructor. The team includes a dedicated primary spotter with ten years of experience on the Dauin reefs, ensuring you don't miss the smaller inhabitants of the seabed.

Ethical diving and conservation are central to their operation. They work closely with Reef Buddy Philippines to promote reef-safe practices and ensure all diving is conducted with a non-contact approach to preserve the local ecosystem.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of PADI training, beginning with Discover Scuba Diving for beginners and progressing through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For those looking to refine their skills or move into professional diving, they offer Peak Performance Buoyancy, Deep Diver, Night Diver, and Drift Diver specialties. The curriculum extends to the Rescue Diver and Divemaster programmes, as well as Search & Recovery training.

Technical and specialized support is also available, including Emergency First Response and rebreather-related instruction.

The centre uses a catamaran for trips to the Apo Island marine sanctuary, a one-hour journey from the coast. This allows for comfortable transit to the offshore reefs and walls.

For local coastal dives in Dauin, sites are easily reached by jeep, making them highly accessible for those wanting to dive the muck sites without long boat transfers.

Full equipment hire is available on-site for divers who do not wish to travel with their own kit. The centre is equipped to support various levels of diving, including technical divers with rebreather capabilities.

All course fees are inclusive of equipment and sanctuary fees, ensuring a transparent experience for students and recreational divers alike.

The macro life around the Dauin coast is exceptional. Divers frequently encounter frogfish, ghost pipefish, pygmy seahorse, and the elusive wonderpus. The sandy bottom is also home to various crabs, shrimp, and blue-ringed octopus.

In the larger reef environments and around Apo Island, the focus shifts to more pelagic and reef-dwelling species. You will regularly see turtles navigating the reef walls and healthy coral structures.

The local ecosystem is rich with diverse invertebrates, including various species of octopus and numerous crustaceans that inhabit the reef flats and volcanic sands.
