Duck n Dive Koh Tao

Duck'n Dive is one of the newer PADI dive centres in the Koh Tao and Koh Nangyuan area. Situated in a peaceful hillside location, the resort offers sweeping views of the ocean and easy access to the best dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand.

The centre operates as a PADI Dive Resort, providing a base for both training and fun diving. Its position allows you to settle into a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by greenery before heading out on the water.

The reefs around Koh Tao are teeming with life, from large schools of fish and colourful reef fish to various species of corals. You can regularly observe groupers (Epinephelus), snappers (Lutjanus), and barracuda schools. Larger visitors such as whale sharks (Rhincodon typus), rays (Batoidea), and turtles are also part of the local ecosystem.

In the more rugged areas, keep an eye out for stingrays, blue-spotted rays, and blue-spotted stingrays. You may also encounter reef sharks (Carcharhinus), various species of butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and different types of angelfish (Pomacanthidae) amongst the hard and soft corals.

For those interested in macro life, the sites offer plenty of variety. Look for nudibranchs, Christmas tree worms, sea anemones (Actiniaria), and various crustaceans. You might also spot white-eyed moray eels (Muraenidae), shrimp (Caridea), and other unusual critters tucked into the crevices of the reef.

Diving in the area is subject to local conditions, with Hin Wong Pinnacle known to be prone to strong currents. It is advisable to check with your instructor regarding the specific conditions for your chosen site.
