Located in San Miguel de Cozumel, Trippy Divers operates within the protected waters of the Cozumel Reef National Park. This marine reserve is one of the most well-preserved reef systems in the world, offering diverse habitats ranging from shallow reef flats to deep walls.

The centre also extends its operations to the Riviera Maya, providing access to the famous freshwater cenotes and the Puerto Morelos reefs. Whether you are looking to explore the karst cave systems or the drift dives of the Cozumel channel, the programmes are designed around the specific conditions of each site.

With over 15 years of experience in the region, the team at Trippy Divers operates as a professional SSI training academy. They focus on developing safe, environmentally responsible divers through structured education and guided exploration.

To ensure a high standard of safety and personal attention, the centre maintains a guide-to-diver ratio of maximum 3 to 4 divers per instructor. This allows for more precise control during technical dives or when navigating the unique environments of the cenotes.

As an SSI academy, the centre offers a comprehensive range of training programmes. For beginners, they provide Try Scuba, Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver courses.

For more advanced training, you can complete the Advanced Open Water Diver, Advanced Specialty Diver, Diver Stress & Rescue, and Divemaster certifications. They also offer specialised skills training, including Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Night Diving, and Deep Diving.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers, which includes a dive computer with every rental set. For those looking to capture their dives, professional photography services can be booked, and Sealife waterproof housings for mobile phones are available for rent.

Trippy Divers also provides daily dive insurance that includes medical coverage and sanitary transport.

The reefs of Cozumel and Puerto Morelos are home to a vast array of pelagic and reef species. You will regularly encounter sea turtles, stingrays, and large rays, alongside schools of parrotfish and great barracuda.

The macro life is equally diverse, with many divers looking for octopuses, spiny lobsters, and various reef fish. During night dives, the ecosystem shifts as nocturnal creatures like reef sharks and different species of lobster become active.

In the cenotes, the focus shifts to the unique geological formations, though the surrounding marine life in the region remains a constant draw. If you are visiting between June and September, you may also have the chance to see whale sharks during seasonal migrations.

Diving in Cozumel is characterised by the currents of the Cozumel channel, which are ideal for drift diving. In Puerto Morelos, the currents are generally described as gentle, making it accessible for a wider range of certification levels.
