Located in Cozumel, Mexico, Cozumel Top Dive Experience provides a concierge-style service designed around your individual rhythm. The centre focuses on a boutique approach, ensuring that every detail of your day is managed, from the preparation of your kit to the coordination of transport and marine park fees.

With over 16 years of experience in the area, the team understands the nuances of the local reefs. They specialise in providing a relaxed, high-standard environment where you can focus entirely on the underwater environment, whether you are exploring the famous drift dives or seeking a more deliberate, slow-paced tour of the reefs.

The team is led by Julen Carrero, a highly qualified technical diver and multi-agency certified instructor known for his professionalism. Operations and guest logistics are coordinated by Inma Terra, who manages the daily flow of dive trips and customer service.

Safety and attention are central to the operation, with a strict limit of four divers per guide. This ensures that whether you are a novice or an experienced diver, you receive the necessary level of supervision and personalised guidance. The centre is affiliated with PADI, SSI, SDI, and RAID, allowing for flexibility in your certification path.

A comprehensive range of training is available through PADI, SSI, SDI, and RAID. For those starting their journey, the centre offers Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water Diver courses.

Advanced training is also a core part of the programme, including Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, and Nitrox certifications. For those looking to turn their passion into a career, the centre provides Divemaster and Instructor Development Courses (IDC), as well as specialised Technical Diving training.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment, including BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks. They manage the entire process of equipment care, from assembly and cleaning to professional storage.

For those looking to stay on land, the centre offers accommodation in private apartments in the town centre or at Casa Tierra, a larger house that can accommodate up to eight people. These facilities include air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens, and a shared garden with dedicated spaces to rinse and dry your diving kit.

The reefs are teeming with large schools of fish, including snapper (Lutjanus), jacks (Carangidae), and various species of grouper (Epinephelus). You will frequently encounter colourful reef fish such as angelfish (Pomacanthidae), butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and parrotfish (Calotomus), alongside schooling blue chromis and damselfish (Pomacentridae).

Large pelagics and predators are a highlight of the area, with sightings of reef sharks (Carcharhinus), blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus), and even hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini). You may also see eagle rays (Aetobatus), southern stingrays (Hypanus americanus), and various species of barracuda.

Sea turtles are a constant presence in these waters, including green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas), hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata), and loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). These large animals are often found navigating the reef structures and sandy patches.

You can also find spotted moray eels, shrimp (Caridea), and nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani) tucked away in the crevices of the hard corals and sponges.
