Dive Station Pattaya

Established in 2020, Dive Station Pattaya has quickly become a prominent fixture in the local diving scene. Located on Soi Na Klua 18 near Wongamat Beach, the centre provides a modern hub for both recreational enthusiasts and those looking to advance into technical diving.

As an SSI affiliated school, the centre utilises the SSI Diamond e-learning system to streamline the educational process. Whether you are looking to complete your first certification or are a seasoned diver seeking technical specialties, the centre is structured to support all stages of a diver's progression.

The team is led by experienced professionals, including Danny, an SSI Trainer with extensive international experience and a deep knowledge of the Thai waters since 2017. The centre maintains a professional atmosphere with instruction available in both English and German.

Safety and individual attention are central to their operation. The centre maintains a strict ratio of a maximum of 4 students per instructor during courses, and a maximum of 5 divers per guide during recreational dive trips.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire SSI spectrum. Beginners can start with the SSI Basic Diver, SSI Scuba Diver, or the SSI Open Water Course. For those looking to progress, the centre offers the SSI Advanced Adventurer, SSI Master Diver, and various specialty courses.

Technical and skill-specific training is a core strength, with offerings including SSI Advanced Wreck Diving, SSI Deep Diving, SSI Navigation, and SSI Perfect Buoyancy. The centre also provides professional training for those pursuing a career in diving, including SSI Dive Guide, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Instructor levels.

For those interested in alternative disciplines, the centre offers both SSI Freediving and SSI Basic Freediver programmes, as well as SSI Recreation Sidemount.

The Julia White is the centre's primary vessel, notable for being one of the largest and most spacious boats in the Pattaya area. It has a capacity for 30 divers and 10 snorkelers, ensuring plenty of room on deck.

Onboard, you will find a covered lounge area and sun loungers with poufs for relaxing between dives. The boat is well-equipped for full-day trips, offering freshly prepared lunch and refreshments, as well as two bathrooms for convenience. Nitrox is available for use on board.

The centre provides a full range of standard equipment for hire. While the centre focuses on providing high-quality kit, please note that dive computers and torches are charged separately.

The facility includes a shop stocked with high-quality diving and beach equipment. Transfers to and from the boat are included as part of the service, making the logistics of your dive day straightforward.

The reefs are home to a diverse array of tropical fish, including various species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and Wrasse (Labridae). You will often see schools of fish, including yellowtail fusiliers (Caesio), jacks (Carangidae), and various damselfish. Larger residents such as reef sharks (Carcharhinus), small blacktip sharks, and occasionally whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) can be spotted in the area.

In the sandy patches and near the reef structure, look for sea turtles (Cheloniidae), including green turtles and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata). Stingrays are common, ranging from blue spotted stingrays to Southern stingrays (Hypanus americanus). You may also encounter various species of snapper, rabbitfish, and grouper (Epinephelus itajara).

Macro enthusiasts will find plenty to observe, from various Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) to seahorses (Hippocampus kuda) and tiger tail seahorses. The seabed and reef crevices host a variety of crustaceans, including shrimp (Caridea), crabs (Brachyura), and octopus (Octopus vulgaris), alongside many species of reef crabs and decorator crabs.

The centre operates daily excursions with departures scheduled for 9:00 AM. While specific seasonal conditions are not detailed, the centre is well-equipped to handle the local environment, offering both recreational and technical guided dives.
