Located in the heart of Pattaya, Pattaya Scuba Adventures has been operating since 2014, providing a gateway to some of the most interesting dive sites in the region. While Pattaya is widely recognised as the wreck diving capital of Thailand, this centre focuses on delivering high-quality, intimate experiences rather than large-scale tourist excursions.

The centre operates with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental stewardship. As a certified Green Fins member, they actively participate in reef restoration projects and promote sustainable diving habits to protect the local marine ecosystems they explore.

This is a family-run PADI 5 Star centre that prioritises a personalised approach to diving. You won't find yourself lost in a massive crowd here; the team maintains a strict ratio of 2 to 4 divers per guide, ensuring that instruction and supervision are closely managed.

The professional team is experienced in handling everything from first-time Discover Scuba Diving participants to professional candidates undertaking the Instructor Development Course (IDC). Their focus on small groups allows for better buoyancy control workshops and more detailed underwater photography training.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the entire PADI progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Scuba Diver course, moving through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers a wide array of PADI Specialty Courses, including buoyancy control workshops and underwater photography training. Professional divers can pursue their Divemaster certification or complete the Instructor Development Course (IDC) on-site.

The centre provides a complete range of rental kit for those not travelling with their own equipment. You can hire everything from regulators and BCDs to fins and masks, with high-quality brands such as Scubapro, Cressi, Mares, and Aqualung available.

All dive packages are inclusive of the necessary equipment and local transfers to the dive sites. On board during your trips, you will have access to cooked meals, snacks, and a variety of drinks including water, sodas, tea, and coffee.

The local waters are home to a diverse range of pelagics and reef residents. You can expect to see various sharks, including Bamboo shark (Chiloscyllium), Leopard shark, and small blacktip reef sharks. Larger species like the Whale shark (Rhincodon typus) are seasonal visitors, appearing between November and February in Pattaya, and between February and April near the Similan Islands.

Reef life is abundant around the wrecks and pinnacles, with Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), various species of stingrays, and large groupers (Epinephelus itajara) frequently spotted. You will also encounter Hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata), green turtle, and many species of colourful reef fish, including parrotfish (Calotomus), angelfish (Pomacanthidae), and damselfish.

For macro enthusiasts, the area offers incredible opportunities to find delicate species. Keep a sharp eye out for tiger tail seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), various nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and different types of shrimp. The sandy patches and crevices also hide octopus (Octopus vulgaris), scorpionfish, and various species of pipefish.

Diving in the Pattaya area is best experienced during the summer months for daily dive action. When travelling further afield to Koh Chang, the best window for diving is between November and May, when the seas remain relatively calm.

Visibility in the region typically ranges between 10 and 25 metres, providing good clarity for both wreck penetration and reef exploration.
