Immersio Plongée

Immersio Plongée operates as a mobile dive centre based in Banyuls-sur-Mer, moving between the various beaches and coves of the Pyrénées-Orientales. By focusing on shore diving, the centre provides a low-impact, accessible way to explore the Mediterranean without the need for boat trips or the risk of seasickness.

This approach allows for a highly personalised service, as sessions are scheduled around the specific requirements of the group and the prevailing weather conditions. It is an ideal setup for those seeking a quieter, more intimate connection with the underwater environment, particularly within the highly protected Cerbère-Banyuls Marine Nature Reserve.

The centre focuses on small-scale, private instruction, offering sessions tailored to the specific skill level of the group. This bespoke approach is particularly suited to families or small groups participating in discovery sessions or treasure hunts.

Instruction is available for a wide range of ages, with training programmes for children starting from 8 years old. All sessions are organised in half-day blocks, typically lasting around 4 hours, allowing for a relaxed pace in the water.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of training, from initial discovery sessions to formal certifications. You can complete the PE12 or PE20 training programmes, which are suitable for divers as young as 8 years old.

Beyond basic certifications, the centre provides refresher courses (remise à niveau) to sharpen your skills, as well as specialised sessions such as night diving.

Full equipment hire is available for divers, including wetsuits, BCDs, regulators, masks, fins, and weights. This allows you to simply show up and dive without worrying about transporting heavy kit.

For those who prefer to dive from their own vessel, the instructor is available to join you on board your own boat to provide professional guidance.

The diving is primarily conducted from the shore, making it highly dependent on local weather and swell conditions. The centre adapts its itinerary to ensure the most suitable environment for the specific type of dive planned.

Sessions are typically organised in four-hour half-day blocks, allowing you to dive when the conditions are most favourable for your level of experience.
