Le Brusc Plongée

Le Brusc Plongée is situated in the small fishing hamlet of Le Brusc, within the commune of Six-Fours-les-Plages. The centre sits at the foot of the Embiez Archipelago, a protected Natura 2000 zone that provides a rich habitat for Mediterranean marine life.

The centre is positioned just 50 metres from the port square, making it easy to access with nearby parking available. It serves as a local hub for divers looking to explore the varied topography of the Var coast, from shallow reefs to deeper wrecks.

The team is led by Stéphane, an SSI Instructor and DEJEPS holder, working alongside a team of State-certified Moniteurs. This professional structure ensures that training and guided dives are handled with experienced hands.

The centre operates in French, providing a local and authentic atmosphere for those looking to dive in the region. The facilities include a 55 m² base with a reception, a retail area, changing rooms with toilet facilities, and a coffee corner for relaxing between dives.

Training is available through several recognised bodies, including SSI, FFESSM, and ANMP. The curriculum covers the full spectrum of diving, from initial Discover Scuba Diving and initiation sessions to complete certification courses.

For those looking to advance their skills, the centre provides professional training pathways through these various affiliations, allowing you to progress from beginner levels to more autonomous diving.

The Eurybie is a large, comfortable polyester monohull capable of carrying 24 people. It is powered by a 365 hp Volvo Penta TAMD 63 diesel engine, making it a reliable platform for longer excursions around the archipelago.

The Moustache is a faster, more agile semi-rigid RIB designed for up to 8 divers. It is powered by a 150 hp Yamaha four-stroke engine, ideal for getting you to the sites efficiently.

The centre maintains a well-stocked inventory of rental kit, including 40 wetsuits, 24 shorties, and 40 pairs of fins. For breathing apparatus, there are 18 Cressi regulators available for hire.

The cylinder stock is diverse to suit different buoyancy needs, including 9 x 15-litre, 29 x 12-litre, 3 x 9-litre, and 1 x 6-litre cylinders. The facility also includes an insulated compressor room to ensure quiet operation on shore.

The rocky walls and reefs are defined by an abundance of fixed life. You will find vibrant displays of Sea fan (Gorgoniidae), red and yellow gorgonians, various sponges, and encrusting anemones covering the rock faces.

In the deeper sections and crevices, the resident fauna is diverse. Large groupers, barracuda, and various species of eels, including conger eels (Congridae), inhabit the holes, while spiny lobsters and langoustes move through the rubble.

The sandy areas and seagrass meadows support a different community, including various species of octopus, crabs, and shrimp. You can also observe various wrasses, damselfish, and cardinalfishes patrolling the reef edges.

Macro life is present for the observant diver, with various species of nudibranchs, sea hares, and planaria to be found among the sponges and rocks. Small crustaceans and various types of shrimp add detail to the smaller niches of the reef.

The dive sites are located around the Embiez Archipelago, offering a variety of environments from sheltered reefs to more open areas. The topography includes walls, plateaus, and wrecks ranging from 3 to 50 metres in depth.
