O2 Plongee

O2 Plongée is a dive centre situated in the Port de Carqueiranne, within the Var department of France. Managed by twin brothers, the centre focuses on a personalised service, moving away from large-scale tourism to focus on small groups and individual progression.

The centre is dual-affiliated, offering training through both the PADI system and the French FFESSM framework. This allows divers to choose the certification path that best suits their needs, whether they are looking for international recognition or the structured progression of the French national federation.

The team consists of five professional instructors, ensuring that training and guided dives are handled with experienced oversight. This staffing level supports the centre's philosophy of operating in small committees, allowing for a more attentive approach to each diver's skills and comfort.

Instruction is available for a wide range of ages, including initiation programmes for children starting from 8 years old. The centre also provides training for those looking to move into professional diving roles.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of diver development. For beginners, the centre offers PADI Open Water Diver and FFESSM Niveau 1, as well as introductory sessions for children.

Advanced divers can progress through various levels including PADI Advanced Open Water, Deep Diver, and Rescue Diver. The FFESSM pathway is also fully supported, with training available for PE40, PA20, PE60, PA40, and the Niveau 3 (PA60) certifications.

Speciality training is a core part of the curriculum, with courses available in Nitrox (Base, Elémentaire, and Confirmé), Peak Performance Buoyancy, Dry Suit Diver, Drift Diver, and Wreck diving. The centre also offers the RIFAP instructor training programme.

The centre operates a single vessel named Double Jeu. This boat is used for all excursions, including night dives, and is designed to facilitate small-group outings from the port.

Nitrox is available on board, allowing divers to take advantage of extended no-decompression limits during their dives.

The centre provides full equipment hire for those who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes all the necessary equipment required for training courses, as well as second-hand wetsuits available for hire.

In addition to rental services, the centre features a shop for equipment sales and provides maintenance services for divers' gear. They specifically stock the Phare Bersub range.
