Reef Seen Divers Resort

Situated on the north-west coast of Bali in Pemuteran, Reef Seen Divers' Resort has been operating since 1992. The centre is deeply integrated into the local ecosystem, acting as a pioneer for reef protection in the area through its Reef Gardeners project and local turtle hatchery.

The resort is positioned directly on the beach, providing immediate access to the water. It serves as a base for exploring both the local Pemuteran Bay and the more distant, highly regarded Menjangan Island Marine Reserve.

The team is composed of PADI certified instructors and local guides who bring a wealth of biological knowledge to every dive. Many of the guides are former local fishermen, offering a unique perspective on the marine environment and the specific nuances of the local reefs.

Beyond diving, the centre is heavily involved in community and ecological projects. Their commitment to the area is evident in their active role in reef restoration and local conservation efforts, making it a destination for divers interested in the environmental side of the sport.

As a PADI affiliated centre, Reef Seen Divers' Resort offers a full range of PADI Dive Courses. This includes training for those starting their journey through to more advanced certifications.

The centre operates three distinct vessels to suit different needs. The Reef Diver serves as the main boat for larger trips, while the Reef Nymph is a faster motorboat for more efficient transit. For specific outings, the Reef Runner, a traditional wooden outrigger boat, is also available.

Full rental kit is available on-site, including ScubaPro BCDs and regulators, 3mm wetsuits, masks, and fins. For those preferring to bring their own equipment, the centre provides cylinders and weights as part of the diving service.

The reefs are vibrant with life, featuring a variety of hard and soft corals, including table corals and leather corals. You will find a diverse range of reef fish such as Anthias, Butterflyfish, Damselfish, Fusilier, Parrotfish, and various species of Angelfish and Surgeonfish.

Larger pelagics and reef residents include various species of Jack, Tuna, and Batfish. You may also encounter Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus), various species of Shark, and schools of fish moving across the reef flats.

For those interested in macro life, the area is rich with detail. You can find Nudibranchs, Seahorse, Ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and various crustaceans including Shrimp and Crab. The seabed and reef structures also host Octopus (Octopoda), Cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and several species of Scorpionfish.

The diving in this region is focused on the reefs of Pemuteran and the Menjangan Island Marine Reserve. Specific details regarding seasonal currents or swell are managed on a dive-by-dive basis by the local guides.
