Intrinity Divers

Intrinity Divers operates from Canggu, serving as a gateway to some of Indonesia's most iconic diving landscapes. Whether you are looking for the macro wonders of Amed and Seraya or the dramatic walls and currents of Nusa Penida, the centre provides organised access to the best the region has to offer.

The operation is built around a commitment to environmental integrity, holding PADI Eco centre status and Green Fins membership. This focus on sustainability is matched by a dedication to professional standards, ensuring that every dive, from a first Discover Scuba Diving to an advanced drift dive, is handled with precision.

The team consists of five experienced instructors and guides who prioritise a personalised approach to diving. For training courses, the centre maintains a strict ratio of no more than two students per instructor, ensuring that skills and safety are never compromised.

For fun dives and excursions, the guide-to-diver ratio is kept low, typically ranging between two and four divers per guide. This allows for a more attentive experience, particularly when navigating the more challenging currents found around Nusa Penida or Candidasa.

Intrinity Divers provides a comprehensive range of PADI courses for every stage of a diver's progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI Open Water Diver course, while more advanced divers can pursue the PADI Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster certifications.

Specialised training is also available to refine specific skills, including the PADI Nitrox Specialty, PADI Deep Diver Specialty, PADI Wreck Specialty, and PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy. For those requiring emergency training, the PADI Emergency First Response course is also offered.

For trips to Nusa Penida, the centre utilises speedboats with a capacity of 12 to 15 people. These vessels facilitate transfers from Sanur to reach the offshore sites. For local excursions, traditional jukungs are also used, providing a more authentic way to access the water.

The centre offers full equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit, including masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits. Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time.

Safety is a core focus, with oxygen availability provided on-site. For those planning longer trips, such as night safaris to Tulamben, the centre provides standard accommodation equipped with air conditioning and hot water.

The marine life across Bali's dive sites is incredibly diverse, ranging from large pelagics to intricate macro life. You will regularly encounter turtles, including hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), alongside Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus) and various species of reef shark (Carcharhinus). Large schools of fish, such as Jack (Carangidae), Fusilier (Caesio), and various Snapper (Lutjanus), are common on the walls and reefs.

On the deeper walls and reefs, look for various corals, including soft corals and large barrel sponges. You may also spot Blue spotted stingrays, Eagle ray (Aetobatus), and various species of Octopus (Octopus vulgaris) or Cuttlefish (Sepiidae) hiding in the structure.

For macro enthusiasts, the sandy bottoms and rubble areas of Amed, Seraya, and Tulamben are exceptional. These sites host a wealth of small creatures such as Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), Ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and various species of Shrimp (Caridea). You can also find Seahorse, Frogfish (Antennarius), and many species of Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) amongst the reef.

Seasonality plays a role in certain sightings; specifically, Mola mola can be observed between June and October. At Manta Point, the presence of plankton can influence both visibility and the frequency of Manta ray (Mobula alfredi) encounters.

Diving conditions in Bali vary significantly by location. Nusa Penida and Candidasa are known for unpredictable currents and swell, which can make certain sites challenging. In contrast, sites like Tulamben and Amed generally offer more manageable conditions.

The tides and swell can impact the timing of drift dives, particularly in the Nusa Penida area. Divers should be prepared for varying conditions, from the calm, shallow reefs of Padang Bai to the high-current environments of the deeper channels.
